I'm a surgical technician at my local hospital. Only one other person knows that I stealth vape in the bathrooms. I keep it quiet because I don't want any comments made. We are a non-smoking facility but I have no idea about e-cigs. There are 3 private bathrooms in our unit that we reserve for #2 (LOL) and I slip in one of them pretty much every chance I get. I keep whatever device I bring in my locker and if no one is in the locker room, I'll stealth vape and blow it into my locker. It's hard to restrain myself with blowing any big vapor clouds, I dont' want to walk out of a bathroom with someone waiting on it and then go in to a haze of vapor, plus I'm terrified of setting off the smoke alarms.

Working in mental health is rather neat. Everybody (staff and patients) is pretty open and honest about just about everything, sometimes to the point of TMI. I love my co-workers and patients.

You guys are lucky! Unfortunately my facility is currently packed with toxic personalities staff-wise. There are a lot of people I know at work who would be fine with vaping, but there are some people who I know would needlessly make a big deal out of it. Until then, I do like nicnurse and vape privately in a secluded bathroom lol. It's nice to have that option though! I remember at a hospital and having to spend my entire break 1) speed walking as fast as possible to off hospital grounds; 2) inhaling that .... as fast as possible, then; 3) racing back to my floor to continue my shift without having a chance to sit down, eat, or drink anything. Yeesh! What a vice...

I'm an X-ray Tech at a large hospital in my area, several of us vape, several. Unlike nurses who mainly work on floors with patients all around, our little hole in the hospital is dark and quiet. We vape right in our control area, though not when managers are around. We all stick to small Egos with Evods at work. I keep the big guns in the car, lol.

What does PTA stand for? It's confusing how each region has their own acronyms for the same roles lol

Physical Therapist Assistant. I'm not sure their used outside of the US. I'm basically a physical therapist but I can't evaluate or change the plan of care for a patient. I can implement the plan. I have to get changes approved by the PT.
