Just sitting here at work and was wondering if the vapor from the e-cig has a smell that corresponds to the flavor you are vaping?

There's always someone who seems to be offended nowadays by something. Granted an e-cig shouldn't smell like a dirty ashtray, but just exactly how much does the vapor smell if any? Like if I ordered some bourbon flavored juice, would someone be whining that they could smell liquor?

I work in a control room at a power plant. Most co-workers wouldn't say anything but there's always one in a bunch..... TIA!

Good question. Never thought of that. I don't have any alcohol juice but just ran a test with my wife and the findings were: Yes, though she couldn't guess any of the fruits correctly, she got mocha and menthol easy. To be on the safe side, you should switch carts to something less alcoholicy when working at the power plant  Anyone else wanna chime in on the bourbon? I'm curious about sticky icky aromas.

My 15 yr old son says he occasionally gets a smell like i'm chewing a piece of gum with the menthol but other than that he says he can't smell or taste it. When my hubby and I were smoking he could....he wouldn't sit in the living room with us for very long (not real surprising that a teen doesn't want to hang with his parents.) but now he comes out and sits with us all the time!!

I asked some coworkers I trust if they could smell anything while I was vaping at work.
In one instance I was vaping cherry cola and my bud said that it smelled like candy. Not candy on your breath, but when someone opens a wrapper with some hard candy in it and you can smell it. He said it was very faint and had to be close to smell it.

Second one I was sitting ina vehicle, forget what flavor I was using. Buddy #2 said it was a very faint smell similar to incense.

Both times it was the "after" scent when I was not actively vaping in front of them.

When I showed it to my wife we were sitting next to each other at home and I vaped a drag of cola flavor, she said it smelled like cloves (?!?!?). Yeah you figure it out.

May be different if someone walks into a cloud of vapor you just produced but otherwise I am thinking any trances of aroma or scent (I will not call it odor) will be faint.
It is nothing close to how you can smell it on a person when they just had a cigarette. And most people have a stronger odor from the perfumes or colognes they wear.

I've mixed up some rather strong clove flavors with various distinct mixed fruit and spice palates.

I set up a blind tasting focus group with 2 friends the other weekend... very informal.

One of my friends' gfs who doesn't smoke said it smells like incense (generally speaking) at close range and is better than cigarette smoke.

She's been the only one. He's probably going to order this week.

I notice the fruit flavors in particular tend to leave a lingering smell, perhaps because that's what I vape a lot of. But what's wrong with a light fruity scent?

I've had people say then can smell it a bit, but it's a light, unobtrusive smell. It could just as easily be me sucking on a piece of candy or an air freshener.

So, I smell like candy. I think that's a good thing!
