My wife's dog will go to great lengths to avoid smoke. So I tried (only once) blowing vape in her face. She ignored it. I tend to trust animal instincts, so this was interpreted as a ringing endorsement.

A long way from empirical evidence, and I still crack a window in tight quarters such as a vehicle when I am not alone. So far it seems that people who didn't want me to smoke around them don't mind vaping (I always ask).

10% of cigarette nicotine is quite a bit less but still more than zero. They said they used machines to produce vape, not people, so it was not second hand. Not sure what that means, but probably something.

Oops. They did use people.
