Vaping at a Bus Station

So I was at the bus station pulling out my pink SE Gold and got my first public conflict.

First this woman was staring at me when she saw I didn't need a lighter or anything. She saw the tip light up, of course just to get a kick out of it I scratched my forehead with the tip of it and she gave me the biggest "wtf???" look that I've ever seen. She asked if it was a cigarette and I explained to her what it was, handed her a card about it... at first she seemed interested.

then the conflict happened....

This one guy walks up to us and just invited himself in the conversation and said "Oh yea! I've tried those things at the mall.... I'd rather have a real cigarette! Those things are a waste of money!" The guy was clearly on drugs or something because he kept talking and talking to me... kinda creepy.

Yea the mall e-cigs are junk I would probably rather smoke an analog myself.

thats why i always tell people .... there are alot of places that over charge and some of the e-cigs that are not to good... lol i would told that dude off! take off your atty after a longgggg drag and burn him with it lmao

Like yourself, I've already run into a few "E-Cig Experts" who say they have been there, done that, or just know that they are junk. Those people are easy to just ignore and eventually they leave.

But then there are those old-time smokers who are just plain stubborn. Set in their ways, old-fashioned kind of people. They just take one look at what you're doing (vaping) and put that signature "puss" on their face like you have severe mental issues. But to me, those are the most challenging ones. Those are the ones that I go well out of my way to ensure that they understand exactly what they are and how they work. They still won't listen to all I have to say, but I've done my part to educate them.

I guess that's all that we can do - or simply let them finish their lives just not knowing the truth.

Yea they are overpriced and from what I heard not the best quality (but I wouldn't know because thats the only e-cig I have currently) but if I have any problems with it, my e-cig guy and gal is actually really cool.

I've had to replace my atty prolly 10 times now, but got it done lol. They were really cool about it. Apparently I burn it out too easily or something.

See Shortstuff we could be silent about it, but what good would that do for all of us? "Word by mouth" can be a very strong way of getting people's attention.

Would be easier to just give people samples of it to see what its like but I wont share with a stranger, sorry, not happening lol.

Hello fellow SE vaper. The 4081 that you got at the mall is not really that bad. They do charge way too much, but the unit actually works quite well. I payed 150.00 for mine, but at the time I did not know how much less e-cigs were from some of the vendors here. It does not give as much vapor as the 510 or some other models, but I like mine and I still use it a lot. I am on atty number four, but the guys at the mall are always happy to replace it for me and they never give me a hassle.

I like using mine in the evening. I am a very very heavy vaper (I usually go through at least five 510 batts during the day), so I prefer to use my 510 during the day so I can get a ton of nic, but in the evening I usually use my SE e-cig. It gives a nice hit and its great for when I am ramping down from a long day of heavy vaping.

Also, one of the things I like to use my SE e-cig for is filling it with some Sleepy Time juice that I get from Welcome to NHaler! . Dripping seems to work best for me and it makes me nice and realxed. If you are a light vaper, it probably works great for you all day long. Plus the batteries last longer than a 510 battery. Every e-cig has it's pros and cons, so don't let anyone convince you that your 4081 is garbage. If they don't like it, it's just not the right one for them.

Very cool, I did not notice that you were in sunny cali! There are a few of us here, but not many. Hopefully there will be more of us in the future

I highly recommend the sleepy time tea from Nhaler. I love it because I can continue to vape up until bedtime and I don't have that amped up feeling like I get sometimes when I am vaping heavy during the day. I think the nic level is 8mg which is far less that the 24mg I use during the day.
