My company currently has no policy against it. Rather than ask and make them think about how to "handle" e-cigs, though, I just stealth-vape at my desk. My boss' cubicle is immediately next to mine, and he's seen my PV sitting on my desk and talked to me about vaping (when he first saw a battery hanging off my USB port charging), but he has no idea I use it while at work. The guy who used to occupy the cubicle on the other side left the company, and I recently had a drink with him. I pulled out my e-cig and started puffing away, and he asked me if I did it at work. He said he had never noticed.

I stealth-vape because I'm not sure if it would be approved, not because I know it's against the rules. If the company had a policy, I would abide by it.

My opinion keep it low until it is accepted by the masses
BEST attitude! It's like the over reactions to the Blu Stephan Dorff(sp.,?) commercials! :2c: "1000s of kids are going to start vaping now!""It's available in FLAVORS, ban them for the protection of the kids!"

I work in a very small office where I'm the ONLY smoker. I've stealth vaped in the bathrooms, and the warehouse - no one had ever asked me about it in THREE YEARS. :) I am careful to hold the vapor in longer than I usually would, to cut down on the expelled vapor.
Actually I've stealth vaped all over the place - airplane bathrooms, movies, etc. Just be aware of the rules of your employer so you don't lose your job, and be polite to others' personal space. Rest of society will catch up someday! ;)

I have a co worker that had been vaping about 9 months. HR told her she had to go on breaks to do it. Right now since HR does not come around me I have been doing it at my desk. The ones around me are just happy I am vaping and not smoking. If HR catches me I will just act dumb. Lol til then I vape away.

No issues at work. I work in an Army tracked vehicle maintenance shop. My PVs sit on my computer stand in my bay. I vape when I want to. Not flagrant about it, don't roam the shop vaping. Converted 2 of my co-workes so far. The boss knows & has no issues. Guess he's just glad we stay in the shop more.

Keep on Vaping !!!! :vapor:

I am in a situation where I had to contact my legal department as there are no rules on E-smoking right now. I am a Canadian and I just bought my First E-Cigarette.

I was not sure on the rules, therefore decided on sending an email to my HR requesting information on Vaping. The only information I could get is that E-Cigarette is illegal and considered as smoking. Therefore decided to go further and I asked to be sent this information by email with facts and not beating around the bush type of answer.

This means that if I continue this route this could mean that all the buildings would have to change the “Do not smoke” signs to also include the “Do not Vapor” signs.

I have created a “hit storm.

I am also looking for some good concrete facts and information to help me open this can of ….

I hope I win this case as there is no odour to my E-Cigarette.

Right now no one at my HR section can give me a concrete answer.

Pretty sure I already posted to this thread but not 100% sure. I vape at work. We have no policy in place stating that it is against the rules. Only 2 people at office know I vape in the building. Matter of fact the guy in the cubicle next to me has never said one word about it; so I must be doing a pretty good job at stealth vaping.

My opinion if they have no policy, go ahead and do it just don't make an arss out of yourself and people should leave you alone.
