Vaping banned in schools/colleges?

A school isn't going to wake up one day and decide to 'ban' something out of the blue. It's going to be a response to something.
In Los Angeles County vaping is banned everywhere that smoking is prohibited. This includes most college campuses, beaches, parks, etc.
It was bound to happen, whether or not it makes sense.
However, the thing to remember is that if you were previously smoking illegally someone could smell it and you'd be found out. The great thing about vaping is that (assuming you're not making clouds) someone would actually have to see you

That would still not clarify the topic of this thread which to my mind is confused.
The community college I go to has banned smoking everywhere on campus unless you are in your car with the windows up, but they don't seem to mind me using my vape, even in class. I'll walk by the campus PD right after putting out a cloud and they'll just smile and wave.
University of Houston, where I'm hoping to go in the fall, used to allow smoking in certain places when I went there a couple years ago, but since I left they've gone completely smoke free, though they seem to embrace vaping as an alternative.

The college I go to have a no smoking policy but I read it over carefully and no mention of e cigs...I only use mine in my car though. So far campus police haven't got me!

But you are right that it is a response to something.
It is a response to the fear-mongering tactics of the anti-tobacco control freaks pushing their agenda.
