They should have told us that while quitting tobacco is great... vaping causes extreme GAS. We really just wanted to give up smoking but now most of us have a serious side effect. Gear Acquisition Syndrome. One of the benefits of quitting tobacco was suppose to be saving money but in my first month of vaping... I have spent 4 to 5 times what I would have otherwise. Who knew that it would become a sort of hobby before they started? I didn't even think about that aspect nor did I know it even existed. Yikes.

I am a huge gadget guy myself.... but, honestly, never saw it coming when I made my very 1st purchase(an ego). It wasn't until I bought an MVP2 did I realize that vaping... has gadgets. lol It's not going to be cheap to combine an addiction with THAT.

GAS is a condition I'm all too familiar with. Being a musician, repairman, and tinkerer, gear acquisition is something I already deal with every day. Whether it's musical instrument-related gear, my Swiss Army Knife collecting, or now vaping, I tend to get a bit obsessed. I've got an app on my phone that tells me when I'll break even according to the money I'm saving by not smoking, and it's a little way off.

I am sorry, but I have to tell all of you that this sickness has no cure. I have checked with the medical profession and they said there was no cure being developed for it at the present time. For me it has only gotten worse as time moves forward. I have just accepted it is my fate and I will have to live with it the best I can.

    No you can't
Seriously I have had worse than just gas found out that VG was my problem since I DIY my own juice if I add more than 25% VG my problem kicks in and I have stay home for 48 hours NO JOKE. I’m not laughing.

As far as the money goes it takes will power not to buy more more more more cool stuff. When I reached $700.00 I told myself no more spending pretty much kept to it except for my DIY juice stuff and just order two more batteries that I needed to replace spent under $100.00 in last six months but defiantly need will power.

In the long run you do save a lot of money and your health will improve and you won't smell no more...:rickroll:

I feel GAS as the original poster put it has certain pros and cons.
If you've invested a large amount of money in something, you usually have an insentive not to give it up. And in this case, not to return to smoking.
The flip side is, well, you've put a large amount of money into a habit that's entirely optional. If it pleases you though, I guess it's well spent.
However, I know people who've invested a small, initial amount in their vape gear, and have happily carried on with just that, without making a hobby out of it. I think it's up to the person and his character.
