My girl is killing eGo type batteries at a rate of about 1 every 10 days or so. I got her a new charger so that's not the problem. She just won't put the thing down!! She routinely will hit the 10 second time-out. I've had to make sure she had 2 to 3 on hand at all times so she could have 2 on the charger while she vapes. 650, 900, 1100, all toasted. Last time I got her an iTaste VV V3, thinking maybe a little better quality (and USB pass-thru) might help. Nope..... For a while she was able to return them for replacements, but now all the B&M lock the doors when we pull in the parking lot (3 so far)..... I think she may have killed my MVP, too. Now when I try to charge it, it just blinks like a Christmas tree. Problem is that she doesn't want to step up to anything bigger than the eGo size batteries. She wants something cute and petite. She'll use my Sig 8 and MVP in the house, but she has to use 2 hands. Are there any mods out there that use smaller diameter batteries?? She doesn't even like the Sig in midget mode. Too fat and heavy... I'd like to find a mod that would fit her size preference and just get a good charger and a handful of batteries and be done with this for a while!!

There gotta be something wrong other than she's just hard on the batteries. They should'nt all be dying that quick. I could see if they were cheap knockoffs, but since they were bought from different stores its not likely they're the same, not to mention that other batts are being killed as well. I'd first look at something that's common to all, like the voltage being put out of the outlet she's using to charge them, could be to high, worth a look.

EDIT: After looking at my Inferno power supply I see it's rated for 100v-240v, so I guess it's not likely to be the problem. I still can't help but think there's something other than just hard use.

Ya, I thought that at first, too. I bought her a new charger, gave her one of my old ones, and checked all the voltages with a Fluke. Chargers are all good. She just works em' hard! Plus the iTaste uses a completely different type of charger. She has actually burned her lip because the tanks got so hot!! And I don't even want to get in to the tanks and coils she's gone through!!! I'll save that for another thread.....

I don't know if it's relevant, but I had a friend who had a similar issue with any and all portable battery operated devices (cell phones especially). We finally just decided that there was something about her chemistry that drained the batteries faster because she wasn't using it more than most other people.

Are her toppers leaking into the battery? I had one do that and kill an ego fast fast fast even though I was routinely wiping off the connection.

Ahhh!!! We may be on to something!!! Yes, she ALWAYS overfills. Are there any batteries out there that are small AND have sealed tops?? Or a tank that won't leak out the connector??

I went from egos to mechs and mods so I couldn't tell you on the battery. The only things I have found that never leak for ME are the Aspires and pain jane cartomizers. Everything else (except RBDs) leaked at some point.

There are mods that use 10440 batteries, of course they have significantly less run time. You'd have to search for those, many of them are now defunct, but there are still some around. There's a possibility that the GG Slim will be made again in the not to distant future, but the only way to keep track of that is to stay up on what's happening in the GG forum, sorta like a second job.

Would she go for a 14500 mod like the Super T ~ Simplicity

You did'nt mention what ohms at what volts she generally uses. I know the egos are 3.4, but otherwise what's her usual setup parameters?

I started with an Ego and Kanger T2, it worked well enough to keep me happy at the time. I can't say I care much for the T2 anymore, I'm up to vertical nano-coils in bottom fed tanks... and other rebuildable nonsense. Basically, the T2 is a top coil clearo so it's not likely to leak unless it spends a lot of time on it's side in the heat. Bottom coil clearos and cartos have always left a drop or two on the battery's connection in as little an hour, at least that's my experience.

You can still get the T2 and replacement heads, but you can't rebuild them. Maybe a mini-vivi would work, but i can't say as I never went down that road. Good luck to you!

Okay, let me make my classic suggestion, smok epipe. The ego well is on the side, not on top of the battery, it's small, and flat top 18350's are cheap. She can keep one in the mod, and 4 in a case.

LOL!!!!!! While I think I could totally rock a pipe, I can't see the girl even considering it!! She's signed up here. Look up Miss Summertime and let me know if you think she'd be willing to walk around with a pipe!!! Every time we have to get her a new battery it takes at least an hour to decide what will match the fashion of the season. Oh, the things we do for love.....

I'm thinking 14500 is the way to go, but she'll want the shiny gold type, like a Bagua. And damn it, if I have to get her a $100+ mod then I'm getting a Reo AND a Poldiac for me!!! The other problem with mods is they are all 510, not eGo connectors. She likes the simplicity of clearos. It took me 4 months to get her to change out a screw in coil. And unless there is a 510 to eGo adapter that will still allow the tank to fit flush, she won't have it. I guess I might just have to get her a couple RBAs so she can have a spare on hand.
