I really would not have made it to this point if it were not for the help and advice from many of you here. I returned the rip off ecigs and got my KR808D as many of you suggested.
BTW- I had no problem getting a refund on the 3 that I bought from SafeCig. My mom is still waiting for her refund from American Blue Tip.
Once I finally got the right kit it was a challenge to find the right juice that I like (found some with the help of another member here that taste very much like my old Salems).
2nd challenge was keeping the batteries charged. I ended up with 1 working charger out of the 2 kits that I got for my husband and myself and those batteries only last a few hours.
My mom liked all of the tobacco flavors that she tried but I think her taste buds are shot from 60 years of smoking. My mom has health issues and smoked 3-4 pks analogs a day. She went for 9 days with no cigs but was on the 18 mg which was way too low for her so she still had a horrible craving for analogs. I ordered some 24 mg cartos that we got on day 9 for her. That helped somewhat but we still all had the keeping a charged battery issue. Day 9-13 she has smoked 9 analogs. Now we all have 36 mgs and it is much better at staving off the cravings. I have not had an analog since Monday. My husband has smoked about 1 pk in 1 week which is much better than 1 pk a day.
We all ordered XL manual batteries from V4L while they had the 22% off sale. We got them today and let me tell you, they ROCK! So much better than the small autos that came with the kit.
I am getting my sense of taste and smell back very quickly. It has been amazing to see how quickly my 73 year old moms breathing has improved not to mention many other health benefits.
I have wanted to update everyone here but it seems like just getting started with all of the right equipment has taken so much of my time. Especially since I have been doing all of the research, filling cartos, ordering supplies for all 3 of us. Now that I got the condom fill and Taryn spin down pat (and 2 more chargers while I wait for the multi charger to arrive) things seem to be calming down a bit.
I just can't thank everyone here enough for all of the info and support provided to me. We are all well on our way to a much healthier life.
