I usually use my iTaste SVD, but I recently purchased a Kbox 40. With my SVD I use volts, but the kbox is watts only. I can't seem to get this to NOT burn everything...I've tried iClear 30s tank, aspire bcd tank, kanger protank, kayfun lite, five pawns kayfun tank...even with different resistances varying from 1.8-2.8ohms. I can't go above 8w (the lowest possible setting), and even then it's still burning at least half of the time. As soon as I throw the tank on say a kanger tech evod/ego battery thing I use when travelling- it's fine. (Except sometimes the kbox burnt it too much so I change to a new wick/coil/etc again...prime it & use on travel battery thing again...fine...back to kbox after refilling...aaaaand it burns). I've been researching for 2-3 weeks and can't find anything.

Any ideas/tips/thoughts/anything? I have similar problems if I go above 3.7 volts on the iTaste SVD too so I stay below that and it's fine. It's just with the Kbox I can't go any lower...not sure what I'm doing wrong...and it's driving me crazy. :/

IMO if you go with a mod higher than 15 watts yer just gonna have this problem. YES they can show low numbers on the screen but they can't really 'step down' to that low power. The same with high mah batteries. I have a pair of 1600 mah vision spinners and they will fry my Protank wick in a flash. When I tried 18650 batteries in my ZMaxes they'd burn the wick.
I stick with 650 mah Evod VV batteries and 700 mah 18350s in my ZMax and my wick thanks me for it.

If you are using Aspire BDC heads (bottom dual coil) they won't take the watts that the "newer" BVC coil heads will.
The newer bottom vertical coil heads will most likely work better for you with that mod.

We have 7 of those floating around here between my mother and sister in law. They both use Aspire Nautilus with 1.6-1.8 BVC and use the 13watt preset.

My mother still uses a few of the older style Aspire ET-S tanks and they even have bvc coils available for those tanks also.

I love the size and feel of the Kbox and can build my coils on a dripper to suit the presets.....the battery just doesn't last long enough for me.

Good luck:toast:

Sounds to me like the KBox does not Buck voltage. This has been an issue wit hseveral Mod releases in the past few years. In an effort to meet high wattage demands, the manufacturers have forgotten the lower power Vaper.

IPV-D2 suffered No Buck, IPV-D3 added the feature.(Basically a updated release)
