Coming home from work one day after 20 years of smoking I was coughing so badly that I'd had enough. Pulled into the Vape store and bought an eGo One CT starter kit and never looked back. Within one day of vaping (and constantly to overcome the urges for an analog) I developed vapors tongue. Couldn't taste anything. This went on for 3 weeks. Tried all the fixes but decided I wasn't going to burn anything again. Went through chest pain and shortness of breath (I expected this after several attempts to quit smoking, it always happened), spongy bleeding gums, constipation, blood sugar alterations all the quitting analog symptoms I had been through before. This week I began to taste again, the shortness of breath disappeared, all systems coming back in alignment again. I've found some ejuices that are really satisfying. I've spent hours doing research on juice manufactures and choose only the best with ingredients listed. Buying high end juices and still spending less than I did on analogs every week. So happy I made this small change in my life. I can take deep breaths with ease, no coughing, teeth and gums are happy, gut is happy. The only problem I have now is persistent left kidney pain. This is something I have dealt with occasionally throughout my life, but seems to be directly related to the amount of vaping I do each day. I am drinking water continuously throughout the day, but it has me worried. I'm vaping a 70 VG/30 PG or higher. Anyone else have this problem?

Welcome and glad you joined youngster. When we get older our mind sometimes assigns cause and effect. If you have seen a doctor about the kidney all's well and good.

Look at it this way, the more you continue to vape and stay off the stinkies, I guarantee the better your going to feel.
I know, it's true for me.

Drinking lots of water is good for me. It hydrates my body and helps flush out the system. My body will tell me just how much water I should drink. If I'm thirsty, I drink water. If I feel I'm drinking to much water, I'll cut down.

Welcome to ECF and congratulations on your quitting cigarettes! Can't imagine that kidney pain is related to vaping, beyond the dehydrating effect of PG requiring higher water uptake. You might want to try throwing a sports drink with electrolytes into the mix, to help with that. Other than that, it sound like you are doing GREAT!! Please don't be bashful, NO such thing as a dumb question, except the ones ya DON'T ask. Reach out, there are many very kind, knowledgeable and friendly people here who WANT to help!

When I read your post, I couldn't help thinking how lucky I have been to have got away without any of the difficulties you have had. You haven't had it easy and I can only admire your determination to achieve what you have so far - a very big "Well Done!" to you.

I really hope things get better and easier for you from here on in. Welcome aboard!
