So, I've just got home from a pretty crappy day. My CLK 1280 no longer works, I guess. I bought a pack of cigarettes because it's cheaper than a 20 dollar starter.

What's going on:
My iTaste CLK 1280 has stopped working. It lights up, but does not fire. Well, it does, but I can pull more vapor off of a throwaway 20 puff cig-a-like than I can this thing. It was working just fine and then it wasn't. So, I came home to see if I could get my TOBH to work on it. It usually heats a 1.3 ohm coil to glowing perfection, but now, it doesn't even get warm. I've gone through and tried it on every VV setting to no success. I've tried an eVod on it, I've tried a t3s, I've tried a aspire mini and the TOBH. All but the TOBH produce VERY small amounts of vapor. I mean, you need a microscope to see the vapor. It take like 4 seconds to even start to produce it, and even then it barely does. When I say barely, I mean seriously barely. I have tried fixing the pin on all of my tanks and on the 1280.

Please, I'm begging the people of this forum, please help me.
I have smoked 5 cigarettes in the past couple hours and I feel like I can barely breath anymore.

Really sorry to hear you're having problems Daniel. From reading what you say is going on to me it is clearly a power issue and your mod is just puting out the lowest volts/watts possible. Many of the iTaste mods can be used as a pass through device while plugged in to charge, have you tried that? (Just checked the specs on the device and it is passthrough capable so try it!)

I would suggest that you get that mod replaced by whoever sold it to you, it is obviously defective. Next, I would invest in at least an entry level vv/vw device that takes 18350 or 18650 batteries. Something like a Vamo would set you up good. If you don't want to get into batteries and chargers I would suggest an iTaste MVP2 which has a decent track record.

In the meantime get to the convient store and pick up a Blu rechargable pack or something like that, Walmart actually has a sort of house brand that isn't bad for a cigalike and it will get you through until you get a new APV.

Hang in there, you'll get through this. As a lesson here, and not trying to be a jerk or anything, you always need to have a backup! In fact, have a back up for your back up.

I've smoked out of frustration with vaping gear off and on for the past year. I've dealt with mouth sores and irritation, as well as trying countless cigalikes and eventually many different pvs. Persistence will pay off I believe. Today I woke up and could barely breathe. I vaped for awhile and coughed up endless phlegm. I'm now at the point that I just don't pressure myself to make things happen. I do what I have to do to keep from smoking, which is vaping, but I have had smoking relapses and have felt very bad about them. Many people take a long time to quit smoking for full time vaping. Don't beat yourself up over a few cigarettes.

I can relate with this. I too smoked out of frustration with vape equipment. I also realized that I really love the term harm reduction for vaping. I figured that I have smoked 6 cigs in two months total. Normally that would have been about 1500 cigarettes for me. 1494 less cigarettes is pretty good. I know it's hard to think positive when you are in the middle of it though. Relax. If you want to be back on the path, you'll find a way back to it.

I would guess-timate that the battery in the device has, for whatever reason, died. Unfortunately with the smaller "sealed battery" mods we're going a little above what they like to output, thus reducing their life. 2000 charge cycles becomes half that or less.

My recommendation would be a cig-a-like for now, to get you through, and to find a nice replaceable battery tube. You could go for something mechanical, but IMO something with a regulation chip would be better for you since you're used to the variable voltage. If you DO want to go mechanical, make sure you don't cheap out on the batteries. That tobh you have should work great. You can get fairly decent mech mods for pretty low prices, just avoid Fasttech. Their shipping times and the waiting will kill ya. Use em when you've got a working mod and can afford to wait.

Most importantly, remember not to beat yourself up about the ciggys. You've avoided smoking for some time, reduced harm, and you should pat yourself on the back for that! :)

IIRC, the first rule of vaping is:
"Thou Shalt Have Backups"

Ideally, yes.

but I hope it occurs to people that not everybody actually has $ to buy backups or mulitple PVs. So many people have rent and new babies and live paycheck to paycheck.

I know the idea that cigs cost $$ is out there, but once your PV breaks, a $5-8 pack of cigs will get you thru the next few days or so... until next paycheck or whatever, if you don't HAVE $25 or $50 or more on hand.

A disposable costs way more than a pack of cigs where I live....and would only last a day....$9.99-$12.99 here for a disposable.

Daniel, don't beat yourself up on the backslide........you will get back on the wagon again soon!

question, when you say "it lights up" what color is the light?

how long have you had it?

have you been using that little usb cord that came with it?

it's under warranty (within 3 months) send it back to Innokin for another.(make sure it's verified) support@Innokin.com

and keep a back up!! or two...I know I know..but you're worth it!! have ramen for a week or something.

and dont' beat yourself up, my daughter got passed up for a promotion last week (by an older less qualified man, get used to it kiddo this is just your first of many *rolly eyes*) but she bought a pack having been so upset when she left work she left hers in her desk drawer. It happens, we carry on. :)
