Vaping in public

Hi all, just thought we could possibly do with a UK thread regarding public vaping, rather than wading through the (mostly) US one in the main forum.

Where have you been allowed to vape away freely? Where have you been asked not to vape?

I heard from a friend that ALL Wetherspoons pubs are now not only smoke-free zones, but also vape-free.

So far, I've been allowed (after asking) to vape in several public places, including Caffè Nero, 2 pubs, our social club (including behind the bar), and in the café at the Mersey Ferry terminal on a day trip to Liverpool.

Freedom to feed the addiction again....at long last!!!

Well, Neil, where I am, I seem to be the only vaper - I stick to cafe terraces away from too much smoke and don't try any indoors venues. Unless I'm in an airport and have to go to the loo.

Maybe it's different elsewhere in GB.

Well....I've only been vaping for 9 days, but everywhere I've been so far, it seems that if you're polite enough to ask and explain it to them, they'll let you do it!

No one batted an eyelid at Asda t'other day,but then they wouldn't I vaped away without any agro in a Vue cinema today too.

After being banned at work I've given up being polite and asking if I can or can not vape.

Between my size and folks not quite being able to put 2 & 2 together and understanding what's going on I'm not expecting any problems
