I used to DJ in bars and clubs, but it was way back before the 'ban'. I reckon I would vape too, in your circumstance. It's not as though you can abandon your decks....

Well, before vaping I did used to abandon the decks, but only for no more than 3 mins at a time (had to turbo-smoke... not good) and only when a doorman came along to keep an eye on my stuff. And that's only when the front door/smoking terrace is close by. Everytime I crossed my fingers that the CD/vinyl did not skip or stop or needle-beard-skate. One club I resided at for while, funnily enough in Birmingham, used to have a smoking terrace that was 3 mins away (up to 7 mins if it was busy - people traffic) and the front door was as far away too. Smoking ban came into force while I was working there. That was a nightmare. Wish vaping was around back then!

It seems that doormen in clubs are getting wise to e-cigs these days and, as long as you get a blue/green/purple (or whatever) glowing LED tip, there should be no issue vaping in clubs and pubs. My LED is red (hence I DO get disapproving glares from punters), but the doorman are not likely to throw me out! ;)

like your les paul with good old soap bars ,is that a gold top mate ?
dont ask just vape,i vape everywhere and dont care.

Thanks! It's an Epiphone '56 Les Paul Goldtop reissue. It's a remarkably nice guitar for a non-Gibson Les Paul. Both my Epi's are great playing guitars ... right up there with my Gibson LP Studio, IMO.

slightly off topic, it looks like my mates guitar which is a Gibson les paul gold top, had a little play on it a couple of weeks ago twas lovely :)

I myself play a epiphone swingster not as pricey lol

I'm sold on Epiphone guitars. The music studio where I first took lessons was an Epiphone dealer. I was 12 and used to drool over the guitars in the Epiphone catalogs like they were swimsuit models!

Education IS the key. Someone needs to educate the media. They seem to only have access to stories about ecigs containing anti-freeze and carcinogens. Someone needs to explain to them that the diethylene glycol antifreeze comonent in a test was a fluke, like foreign objects in fast food, and the carcinogens are a by-product of nicotine extraction in minute trace amounts equal to that found in FDA approved nicotine lozenges.

Sometimes the "truth" you hear on TV is not the truth at all. We, as vapers, have the truth and should be spouting it in a matter of fact manner every chance we get. Eventually, we will get the truth around to everyone.

After my lengthy post, I'm not sure I actually answered the main question. The answer is 'no'. Vaping will never be as unpopular as smoking. All the objections to subjecting others to passive smoking are well documented and founded in fact. No one in their right mind can seriously think that smoking should be reintroduced to pubs etc, surely?

I thought it was your country who forced WHO to release their actual study showing their claims about second hand smoke were not based in fact.
The study showed children of smokers were actually less likely to get cancer, but that number was insignificant so should be looked at as meaning there is no risk.
WHO made their false claims, released the study showing their claims were false, they stuck to their false claims. Sound like a familiar tactic?

Well, I wasn't aware of this, but I don't claim to speak for my country..... :2cool:

I figured it would've been bigger news there. IF it was your country that pushed it that is, I'd have to look it up to be sure.

But I definitely remember that all the second hand smoke studies were flawed science that had the results selected before the studies started and they stuck to those results no matter what the study showed.
Just like with the FDA and claiming e-cigs are dangerous.
