There is a new generation of PV's on the market now: vv ego style with usb charging. While not a true usb pass through device since they run off the battery, they will satisfy all but the most rabid chain vaper. These are true 3 to 6 volt devices with voltage increments of .1 v. Match them up with a carto tank or RBA tank, and your only limitation is how much juice your tank holds. When you are done driving, just unplug the cable and use them as you would an ego twist style with the advantage of a display-for around $30. Tanks seem to be a natural for these devices. No fiddling with dripping and swapping batteries while driving (dripping and driving is very high up on the list of really dumb things to do). The mini vv usb passthrough would not be a bad device for $15 or so, but it is an ergonomic disaster. It is too small to hold any type of tank system comfortably, and it can get really hot since there is not enough metal to act as a decent heat sink. The cable can work it's way out of the protective sheath until you are left with some bare wire (can be solved with some glue). I epoxied mine into an old e power tube, but have basically abandoned it in favor of the vv ego style usb models. There seems to be a supply problem right now, but that probably has something to do with the Chinese New Year. Last time I looked, Hossiervapes has some in stock.

I like the silicon drip tips for the vehicle. They are soft, flexible and easy on the teeth - lol

I use an Orion V2.1 in the car(and just about everywhere) which has a stainless steel mouthpiece that is not removable. To spare my teeth I cut the end off an old carto condom and slip it on the Orion.

We were talking about this in another thread earlier today. I dont understand the whole "I dont take my mod out with me". I think we should vape the best we have all the time" This will help educate those who are curious. How many smokers try a crappy disposable and give up on e-cigs immediately. I say let people know there are plenty of options. I dont change a thing, whether it be in the car, out shopping or walking the dogs. I carry a VV ego in my gear just in case of something disasterous happened to my Provari, but have never needed to use it. To each their own, just my :2c:

I agree! I take my Orion everywhere, it's a beautiful e-cig. In 18650 mode it lasts forever for road trips. I also usually keep a gogo/go cart set up stashed in the glovebox too just in case.

woohoo!!!!!!!! 100th post!

4 of my friends are avid vapers. Everytime we go on a car ride and have to stop somewhere, we scope out for the cops because everytime the doors open, mushroom clouds of vape just plume out of the car. People always go "DAAAAAAAAYM!!" as if we were having a clam bake or something. I guess if I was a pothead vaping would be a good way to cover the smell. Sorry that was super OT I just wanted to share. As far as the thin film getting stuck on your windows, I find that getting them tinted or coated with windex or anti-fog solution helps out a bunch.

i was vaping in my car the other day and a state policeman pulled up next to me at a stop light. he looked over at me and looked suspicious when he saw this big pink thing in my mouth with a billow of smoke afterward. i got a little nervous, but he never did anything. so i guess i didn't look that dangerous or illegal. :vapor:

2013-03-09 18.30.11.jpgtake my omega wherever i go. it looks cool enough as to not be taken for drug paraphernalia. with the revolution well under way at work, and also at the company next door. the thing i like to do now is play " you show me your toy, and I'll show you mine" with other vapers i see. and i always steer the conversation to this forum. surprising how many people know about this site.

if i didn't vape in the car, i never would have quit analogs. the drive home from work was always the best cigarette of the day, but also the most habitual. IMO vaping is safer than smoking in a car assuming you have a window cracked. all you have to do is hold it to your mouth and push the button. no lighting, ashing, or extinguishing...and no litter for those of you that tossed them out the window. hell, as long as your gear is set up before you start driving, it's probably even safer than putting chapstick on.

Joye EGO-T 2 MOD with a vision clearo has been my new go to in the car. fits really nicely in my hand, doesn't weigh as much as something with a steel case, and produces a strong vape.
