Perhaps it is because I have not yet concocted the right e-liquid with the correct ratios of glycerine vs nic juice, but WOW

I have never coughed this badly when I used to smoke when I was sick. When I vape while sick, my throat HURTS. BAD.

anyone else feel this way?

is this because I mixed too much glycerine in the mix? I'm still a sort of noob to the e-cig world...

although I hate to say it, perhaps there ARE issues with the e-cig being new and not tested thoroughly enough.

however, if it really is caused by the healing caused by the cessation of analogs, that is great news

MEH i still love my ecig no matter what :D

Hey, for some reason I like your avatar. :) But what type of unit are you vaping with ?

How long have you been vaping? I noticed that my throat got pretty dry/sore for the first few days.

Also, my buddy had pneumonia recently and I thought the e-cig would be easier on his lungs than an analog but I was wrong. He said it was much harsher than an analog, and he smokes Kamel Reds. I think it might be possible that fluid in the lungs combined with vaping might not be the best combination.

my avatar is a damn sexy DJ named deadmau5... look up some of his stuff on youtube, they are amazing. Also, I vape off the 901 or my mod, which is in my signature.

I've only been vaping ~1 month. I had a sorta "raw" feeling in my throat the first week and chest tightening but no pain. I also coughed a bit but it was mild.

Everything was okay after that until this week when I made some DIY liquid using USP glycerine. It felt waaay harsh and my chest felt tight again. I then diluted the liquid with vodka and it felt really smooth. Seem to take the harshness right out. No problem since. I only added a few drops of vodka to 20 ml of liquid.

I'll be experimenting some more......

Whar liquids have you tried?

How do you inhale? I am one of those that draws it into my mouth and then inhales. I tried to inhale while I was drawing and I felt like my throat and lungs were on fire! Not going to try that again.

LOL! I inadvertently do this when I walk with the 901 in my mouth. Breathing through my mouth instead of my nose, leaving a trail of fog behind me until the red light flashes....

The guys here at tell me that I'm easy to locate. Just follow the vapor cloud...

i seem to french inhale almost every drag... cuz i can smoke indoors now and there is no wind... so i guess it is the same thing that you do

My 901 sometimes gives me a good, harsh hit. But I like it that way.

I was smoking additive free tobacco in RYO cigarettes for four years before quitting.

normally, i enjoy it, or at least I dont mind it too much. It's when I got sick that I realized how much harsher it really is

I see these statements often on the forum. Folks should take the time to read the reports about PG and its effects on the human body. Repeated exposure to PG has all kinds of affects on skin, lungs. I often see PG mentioned as one of the safest drugs listed by the FDA but newer reports over the past couple of years are now making allot of changes to the MSD reports stating the prolonged exposure to PG maybe dangerous causing all kinds of problems. Of course you could say the same thing for cigarettes as well, but it doesn't mean we should just settle for a whole new set of problems.

I believe that we should be looking further into the dangers of PG. Although I was completely off Cigarettes I soon began having all kinds of problem acid reflux, chest pain, soar throat, just to name a few, so I began reducing the amount i vape and re introducing cigarettes as a suppliment to my vaping. I will make the transition over to ecigs a little slower. I am sure that every peson will be affected differently.

One thing to note and that is there are some people who can be seriously allergic to PG, so folks should take the time to check for allergies before vaping.

Well thats my two cents.
