It takes some trial and error before you find what works for you. If you over vape you won't feel well, but not for long, it's a cue from your body. Up your nicotine as suggested and don't feel bad about having the occasional cigarette. When I started I used vaping to supplement my smoking until I was smoking fewer and fewer cigarettes. Eventually I just stopped smoking and now vape exclusively.
There's no hard and fast rule that says you need to quit cold turkey the first week.
