I was digging through my original posts trying to figure out how long I have had my Reo and came up with some good statistics

11-04-2011 - 02/2013
Riva UNC
Roughstack
Generic E-cig battery that looked like an analog

Gripper
VMOD XL
Gripper (replacement)

02-07-2013 - present
Reo

That says a lot to me. My wife started vaping this year and went from a volcano that shorted out in less than 2 months to a handful of budget Grippers. She's ready for her first Reo but we're holding out for a Hopeful Woodville. I think the fact that I had the same durable mod while she had to get new ones won her over.

Anyone else have a similar statistic?

First REO Mini 1.0 purchased in Dec 2010 or Jan 2011 and It's big brother Grand came along in early 2011. They are both still with me and have never gone back for anything other than updates. I've dropped a few springs and required a bit of Noalox but other than some wear to the black anodized surface, they vape today just as well as they did then if not a small bit better with the newer sub-ohm contact set. I have never had another mod that could weather the sands of time better than my Metal REOs.

Although on my most recent update, Rob swapped my Mini 1.0 coil springs to phillips screws from the early allen key screws that identified it as an oldie but goodie...

I guess I'll just have to deal with having an easier to find driver solution :D Brew

Oh, Oh....A little REO shrine...I can just see it now! My REOs are vaped and not really collected for their value. My only real collectible is a glow-in-the-dark VV Grand. It sees a few nights a year and will hopefully last long enough for me to figure out how to DNA it's already failed Silver-Vein brother VVG. Going to try to do a very clean DNA30 install on that one since Rob tumbled it clean/raw and LP'd it. for me. Maybe I can get a set of those Allen key screws for when I attend Vapefest and want to show off some of the old-school REOs. :D Brew

Ah.. I'd be quick and tell rob he owes you an original spring screw as now the collectable value of your mini has just dropped... alot!

I'd say a original screw and an autographed picture of the mod master himself! Haha

6 Lava Tubes?!
Yeah I'm hard on mods, I was replacing multiple broken mods a year that's why a quit buy expensive stuff like Darwins and Provaris and switched to the cheap ones. Then got completely feed up with it and went looking for something that could take my abuse. That's how I found Reos. Now I've got Reos for every mood and ADV juice I have :D

My wife wanted an e-cig of her own, but didn’t want my manly Reo at first. I did a lot of research on what she personally wanted and the Lava Tube came up as the most reliable/budget friendly one.

It caught us so off guard when it didn’t last but 2 months and the customer service at Volcano refused to help us.

A reo is durable for sure:) even if the vapepocalips came reo's would be working flawless for a long time to come
If you could only buy one ( no one ever only has just one) you could actually save some money
FB your Provari died too?

Jan or 2011 started with V4L cig a like
7 Ego
Darwin
Provari
Pre-order Eclipse Eq - (never shipped)
6 Lava tubes
4 Evic

Oct 2013 first Reo
Now 11 Reos

All of the Reos still work, all of the previous mods died.

yeah even it can only take so many drops and mud baths. what I didn't expect, but kind makes sense with the form factor change is I don't drop Reos as often and they don't fall out of shirt pockets as easy as the tubes did.
