I use dailies so may answer is a little biased. I had MANY more issues with my contacts (mostly related to corneal inflamation - which I now can attribute to the all the smoke in the eyes I was subject to with analog cigarettes) with my contacts when I smoked than I have since vaping. 6 years 10 months vaping and using contacts with zero issues now. My optometrist has always been supportive of my vaping and has commented that he sees the difference in the health of my eyes. YMMV
I don't really know how "confined" of a space you're speaking about though. Most of my vaping done is in the house (room to room - generally no closed doors except when vooping). I guess between the bathroom (which the wife, ALWAYS, says I leave like a fogged-out rock concert) and the car (which visibility limits the cloudiness of) none of my vaping is done in what I would consider a "confined space" so sorry if that doesn't help.
You're best bet though is to speak with your optometrist to be safe.

I was driving on a cold rainy day recently with the heat/defroster on and blowing my clouds out the window. From the defroster and the side window defroster I had a white film on my window the next day. Yes vaping does leave a slight residue on glass. I am very .... about how clean my windows are in my vehicle so I notice it immediately. And out comes the Amor All Glass cleaner! Followed by the microfiber cloth.............
