Ok,
Right now my leg is shaking, i'm really having a nic fit and my atty is burnt to all hell cause the wick in the coil went crispy. I vape about a ML a day, IF that. I probably waste more then i vape. What kind of atty or carto am i missing out on that can allow a person to vape 3-6ml a day that i read about?

I cant imagine my 1ml a day habit destroying an atty in a week...*sigh*.

I vape 5-7ml a day. It depends on the day. I use standard Boge and LR Boge cartomizers mostly. Fill up about 8 of them the night before and I'm set. I vape them on an Icon by puresmoker (the LR's) and the standards on my Buzz from notcigs. Not too messy to fill. Pop off the cap and drip down the side holding at a 45 degree angle. Takes 20-25 drops in a new cartomizer. Recap and I'm ready for the next day.

MAP tanks from cloudsofvapor hold a bunch. Bruce has new Mega Map's that hold 12ml. I don't like the big tanks very much. I love to swap flavors throughout the day. Cartomizers are the way to go. Boge cartomizers can be found at just about any vendor. Cheapest is greenhouseone.com but find out if you like them before ordering. They are out of china. Shipping isn't bad if you can order a bunch at one. 10 boxes to the US is $57.60 with shipping. That's 50 cartomizers.

I've made about 10 of my own home made tanks using Shanb's syringe mod. Same thing happens to me with those, the ce2's wicks start getting really brittle and eventually just ...well seeing the wick fall away from the coil mid vape one time was really something lol. I don't think its my juices, i diy all my flavors..I tend to go with banana or strawberry type flavors...Nothing crazy like lots of cinnamon oil, or any oil for that matter.

i dont know why i'm having such bad luck with wicks going bad.

sometimes atty problems happen... they aren't meant to last too long... and it looks like you have one of those "not as long as others". Sorry for the inconvenience. it sucks.

Now that is serious.
I vape with a lr atomizer about 2-3 ml a day, and also i know i vape more then I use to smoke. I smoked 2 packs a day

Seriously, click that... read it... if you have enough of battery life (not sure about your equipment), you can be vaping in 10 minutes... LET ME KNOW HOW IT WORKS!

Also, Ikenvape makes wonderful attys... I like the 306s and 510s... both fit 510 threads... but ALL of his products use the same high quality materials.

Attys sometimes last a long time and sometimes they just die at the worst possible moment. It's a good idea to have a few spares or at least a box of cartos in reserve. I lost 5 in a day once and I read a thread maybe 7 or 8 weeks ago where someone lost a full dozen in a single day.

My consumption is heavily linked to how busy I am or how much I'm driving. If I'm sitting at a desk a lot or in the truck a lot, I consume as much as ~7 or so ml a day. If I'm sitting around dripping, it goes fast. And different devices I have are more juice-hungry than others. My eGo-t and my eGo megas consume juice rapidly. Also, the dual coil cartos I've been using really consume juice (even more so on days I've felt like using them at 6.0v). At 3.7V, I go through about 3 cartos a day (they hold a little less than 2ml), but at 6.0v, I can easily empty 5.

Strangely, one of the devices I've been using lately seems quite miserly with my juice but produces billows of vapor and I chainvape it all day if I'm at my desk at home. My MAP tank is hard to empty in one day. It holds 5 ml and I can vape it all day long and still have a little left in the tank for the next morning (usually not much, but at least an hour or so worth).

Shantia...to be honest, I sold all but 4 MAP tanks that I had. Same problem with the wicks that you've had. Royal Smoker needs to do something different. Infact, I've gotten away from clearomizers also. All kinds of problems with them. I still use the one's I have remaining but I like Boge and Ikenvape's cartomizers better. Everyone has different tastes and vaping habits but these fit me to my liking.

I have other options around the house, just not what i want..Loosing interest in my tanks, they are such a hassle and go bad well before i smoke out all the juice. The drip attys i might as well throw away, they were pretty craptastic to start with...my fav 'small' atty decided it didnt like me anymore. And if i touch my husbands EGO mega cartomizers beyond modifying them for him i'll be in "big trouble", cause apparently according to him my touch destroys anything with a coil.

*will's her EGO mega atty to work right again*...Alright gonna go read that linked post.

If its a regular ole 510 atty, that method will work!! Also, you might want to try de-wicking... pull out the wick under the bridge. Gotta warn you though, a de-wicked atty cant be used with a cartridge anymore... it'll be a drip atty from then on!

EDIT: Just did some reading on an "ego mega atomizer" ... I dont think you should de-wick it... but the burn method will still work!

Alright... read the link, and i already do dry burns and i honestly think that is what is adding to my problem. The problem as far as i can tell is not the coil itself its what the coil is wrapped around. The debridged atty's i have dry burnt several times over the course of owning them (they're my juice testers so get washed fairly often)...if i poke a pin gently against the wick between the coils the wick feels extremely hard and brittle. But on the other hand, if i dont do dry burns the coils get super black and eventually turn into a solid object instead of a curly q wire lol..

Maybe i should just break down and spend yet another 40 dollars on an ultra sonic jewelry cleaner? Baking soda w/vinegar didnt work for me, alcohol baths dont work. Maybe i'm to picky? I want them to last forever!

I've done this method a few times, and it works... try it as prescribed. The key is in the lengthy burn where you keep the coil orange-hot... It burns all of the funk off of the coils and turns it into ash... rinse away the ash, then burn it again... one final rinse, one final burn and you're vaping. What do you have to lose?? The result for me is clean and clear coils with bright white wick...

What method? are you talking about the dry burning or something from my post, cause i didnt mention any methods lol. Not really interested in debridging yet another atty, i dont like dripping...if i cant resurrect my ego mega atty tho, it will get debridged and used for juice testing along with the others.

And by modifying the carto's i was not talking about dewicking them, i drill a hole up near the mouth tip, big enough for a 3ML syringe plunger so the inner fluff can be changed and the wick/coil can be rinsed.

The eGo-T will suck down the juice. So it's important to me to only put juice in an eGo-T that I really, really like. I throw away atties that are in my carto. But I don't feel guilty cause they are only $1.60 ea.

HTH,
Dave

I usually have 6 or 7 atties as spares and rotate them . I know people on the forum that have way more than that. Just start to build up back ups for back ups. As for the amount of juice you got though, it really does depend on your equipment and your habits. I personally go through 3-4 ml a day, mostly chain vaping.
