I am leaving for a cruise in a couple weeks and I'm looking forward to vaping on the ship. The only problem is I don't know what their policy is on Electric Cigs. Their smoking policy is no smoking except in their very few smoking areas. Obviously I don't want to vape in the smoking areas for obvious reasons... I am just concerned the e-cig thing hasn't caught on with cruise ships and they will say I can't vape on the pool deck etc. Anyone been on a cruise with their e-cig yet? Any input on this? All help would be greatly appreciated...

The way i figure it is, if you don't flaunt it around or make it obvious, nobody is going to know. Secondly, regardless of the rules and regulations aboard the ship, even if it isn't allowed, what are they going to do? kick you off the ship in the middle of the ocean? i think not. The worst that could happen is you being asked to use your PV in a designated smoking area. Hope this helps. P.s. There is always your cabin and bathrooms to grab a quick stealth vape!

I was on a Carnival cruise recently and MOST of their smoking areas are outside anyway (no second hand analog smoke). One side of the pool deck was smoke (vape) friendly and the other side was non smoking. You can smoke (vape) in the casino and some of the bars. If you got a cabin with a balcony, that's a great thing (except the evil wind blows away all the precious vapor....damn you evil wind!!). Just be considerate and don't vape where you wouldn't smoke IMHO. BTW, where are you cruising to?

Sounds about right. I don't plan on vaping at dinner in the fancy dining room, just wanna lay out on the deck and vape away! I'm going on a carribean cruise to grand cayman and Cozumel Mexico!

I just got back from my cruise to the mexican riviera on the carnival cruise ship the splendor. Had a blast! I did some stealth vaping in the no smoking areas,I did have a crew member come up and ask if I was smoking(non smoking bar),I said no,but his english wasn't to good,so I didn't try to explain to him what vaping was. He looked a little confused, but left me alone. I was more careful after that. You can vape in your cabin, and the smoking areas, which are easy to find by using your nose! Have fun on your trip!:)
