I've vaped on several different cruises on both Carnival and Princess :) Some cruise lines are more vape friendly then others. When I started vaping on our cruises there were no specific rules about ecigs but now that has changed and each line has their own rules about vaping. As with any cruise line rule, it pretty much depends on the specific ship and crew if they choose to enforce their rules or not. Carnival treats vaping pretty much the same as it treats smoking now while Princess is pretty much vape friendly. :) You'll need to check the rules for which ever cruise line you are sailing on. Enjoy your cruise :)

I'm planning to go on a Carnival cruise too. I was planning on being moderate about it. I wasn't planning on vaping up at dinner, because it's a little rude. I don't think they'll be able to detect vaping in your cabin. I wouldn't take my battery to the pool anyways, as baller as vaping in a jacuzzi sounds I can't afford to kill my battery.
Last cruise I went on I smoked oldschools in the lounge and on the deck.

I think basic stealth vaping is in order. It's not like your luggage has to go through an NSA screening? (Please tell me I'm right on that...) If you carry it on and no one notices the vape... I don't see a problem coming. They must have far, far bigger issues with desperate smokers doing the nasty. And even then do they throw them overboard if they get caught? (Oh wait, this is Carnival we're talking about...)

I vape in all sorts of places where it's, technically, a no-no. In stores, on the subway platforms. (Underground passages too.) I'm not looking for an "it's my right!!!" fight when I do it. But in two years - never an issue. Then again, I is sneaky!

Have fun. Be sneaky. Vape one on the upper deck for me. :D

There is no problem openly taking whatever vaping stuff you wish onto the cruise ship with you :)

Our last Carnival cruise was on the Miracle and they did sell disposables in the gift shop although I can't remember what brand as I didnt pay a lot of attention to them. I didnt see anyone else vaping the entire cruise although several crew members told me that there were several other crew members that used ecigs. :)

Carnival's rules say you can't vape in your cabin :( Now lets be honest here, how are they going to know if you do ? That is a totally rediculous rule IMO so no, I don't follow it. Carnival's rules say you can't vape anywhere you can't smoke.

They do screen your luggage. Certain items are prohibited (such as bringing your own alcohol on some ships/lines) but I don't expect vape ware to be an issue. The unknown is how you will be treated on board when spotted doing it I agree on being somewhat sneaky... I don't plan to do it openly other than in smoking areas. That is assuming that TSA doesn't take mine away before I get to the ship. :)
