Fellow members of ECF,
I have been vaping for about 9 months now, working my way up from a Beyond Vape starter kit to an eLeaf 50w battery. For my tanks I regularly use my Kanger Sub Tank Mini (OCC coild and RBA) and love it for vaping at home. The thing is, I enjoy vaping while walking to and from my place of work and my subway stop (and anywhere else I walk to) but I am always self-conscious about billowing huge vapor clouds for the person behind me to walk through. I have been using an EMOW by Kanger as my go-to for walking-while-vaping, as it doesn't produce huge clouds, and the flavor has been OK, at best. I was wondering if anyone here has a recommendation for a portable tank they enjoy vaping from - one that doesn't produce huge clouds that may annoy people, while still producing a great flavor hit.

Thanks!

From your post it seems you enjoy a pretty open airflow, loose draw, and most of that type do seem to be real cloud makers. If you can tolerate a tight draw in the interest of discretion, I recommend the Achilles; the flavor is outstanding, on the order of a Kayfun or Magma; if you mount the coil high you can get TH so intense that you need to lower the nic AND the wattage; both a) lower airflow, and b) lower wattage, contribute to very conservative vapor production -- it's enough, but it sure won't make weather. :D It holds a lot more than any other RDA, 2-2.5ml, so you don't have to worry about "dripping while walking" (which can be as hazardous as dripping while driving for a klutz like me!). And, even the clone (linked above) is all-titanium, so it's extremely lightweight, nothing like as heavy as steel.

It is not the tank that produces the huge vapor clouds, it is the coil that you put in the tank.
The 0.5 ohm occ head for the subtank mini is rated 15-30 watts
The 1.2 ohm occ head for the subtank mini is rated 12-25 watts

The lower wattage coils will produce less cloud.
Your eliquid also affects amount of cloud; higher vg produces more cloud.

You can also wrap your own tootle puffer lower wattage coil using the rba coil head.

If your getting a second Subtank mini, you could always get a black one with a coolfire 4 mod haha, or just buy the subox starter kit ;)
I have been very tempted indeed to get the sleek new black subtank mini :D As far as mods go, I've been saving up/ holding out to see where this whole TC phase is evolving to...don't know how much longer I can hold out though...

Know the feeling. I broke down on the TC thing. Pick a tank you like-- kayfuns are good due to restricted airflow, but any adjustable air RTA will do-- and just be careful how you coil it. Maybe keep a separate one for walking with higher PG juice, and a spare you can use in the smoking room or wherever on break.

I use iStick 30w and mini Nautilus for not-too-cloudy on the go vaping.

If I inhale and hold it in a little longer, almost nothing comes out. I find it better than the subtank Nano in this respect.
The Aspire Premium kit would be another good suggestion

I have always considered the mini Nautilus as an alternative to my kanger EMOW, but the guy at my local B&M said they were pretty much the same with regards to flavor production... can anyone confirm? Also I am hesitant to have an all glass tank, I can just picture me breaking it in my pocket or bag

My opinion is the EMOW is not quite a match. It also won't go as high power, from my experience. At 9w-12w, say... there's not much in it, I guess.
