Ha Ha no it was definitely not that! It was more of a burning plastic smell. It was a weird smell that I had never smelled before. Like it was in the air conditioning ducts.

That could well be the train itself. The Intercity 125s in the UK were notorious for the stink which filled the carriages when the brakes were applied.

"I've been vaping on the railroad, all the live long day..." All together now!

I have indeed been vaping on the train and have never had any problems. I try not to draw attention to it, and I don't vape it when the ticket collectors are making their rounds, but otherwise I've been fine. You just should use a liquid that doesn't have a strong smell, like Riskee Juice would be a bad idea. I also tend to use my silver battery on the train to avoid confusion.

And when people say something, which only 2 have, I tell them that it's a nicotine inhaler and that I just quit smoking, and all I am exhaling is water vapor.

If people get too flashy with these on the train though, before you know if we'll have to keep them inside a paper bag when we vape them, like you have to do with drinking beer on the train.

haha good song. It was weird because i s vaped like an hour after leaving, and the smell was not there at all. Then the second the first plume of vapor hit, the whole car smelled funny. Maybe it was just a one time thing. I need to take another train ride to test it out again. Maybe its the California trains....
