Cigarettes seem to deliver nicotine far more efficiently than an ecig, I've never got that same headrush from vaping that you get when you smoke a Newport Red for instance. Most of the current studies indicate little to no nicotine delivered to the bloodstream. These were all done with cig-a-like devices though, I would be interested in seeing some Cotinine tests after vaping something likemy Provari or Sabre Max and a Genesis. Even with those, though, I never seem to get that huge headrush even with 24mg.

This has not been my experience in the least bit! Nicotine by itself is a stimulant and when I vape, I get stimulated very quickly. Why is it this never happened with cigarettes? It is most certainly due to the alkaloid mix and abundance of "other" stuff. I think people (not saying you) think that straight nicotine should effect them the same way as it did when they smoked, but nicotine was not the sum total of what smoking delivered.

Here is a test that Dvap did that may interest you: Cotinine Testing by Dvap

Buy Cotinine Test

Maybe try using a WTA juice? I am not advocating WTA (or wanting to derail this thread into that topic), but maybe it'll work for you.

I have to agree with Mr. Mann. I get plenty of nicotine from vaping (although some of it is technique I believe). Tried WTA once and wasn't impressed (although others swear by it).

I rolled my own for years using pipe tobacco and I noticed (long before I tried vaping) that when I smoked a name brand cigarette I got that old head rush I remember from when I first started smoking.

That said, I spent almost the entire day vaping zero nic juice at VapeBash and didn't feel any withdrawal symptoms at all (after the first two hours even my 6mg was making me jittery...hard not to vape when everyone around you is doing it!). In fact, we had a four hour drive home and I didn't touch any nic juice until we got home.

So, no, I don't believe vaping will make you more addicted to nicotine...less so in fact because you're not getting all the chemicals that react with it as you would a regular cigarette.

The short answer is no. Unless you are adding ammonia to your e-liquid there is 0 chance it will be more addictive or even as addictive by comparison to commercially produced tobacco which is loaded with all sorts of nasty chemicals with ammonia being perhaps the most problematic. This is why I don't think Big Tobacco will ever tell the general public every ingredient that's actually in a cigarette. The more you find out, the more you get really outraged. I'm just glad I switched to vaping.

Big time.
