ok as I'm a relatively new member this is still the only place I can post a new thread. Almost a week ago I went to Tyler to wrap up a few loose ends. . .

While I was there I think I converted my former boss:)

ok so I was supposed to be in Tyler for about 24 hours wrap up the bidness and head home. . . WRONG

my dad ended up in the hospital (no worries he's fine now, but is was scary for a few days) add that to the fact I'm waiting to hear about a job/possible move, and I was one stressed out puppy.

When I smoked analogs I was always the "stress smoker" I could quit, go about 6 months without caring about smoking, but something stresses me out and BAM I morph into the malodorous and mediocre semi-supervillain, "Chainsmokerwoman!" Oh and I'm asthmatic. . . not a good combination.
Smoking analogs, according to the BF also make me snore :D

In family crises I always end up the "home base contact point" JOY OF JOYS!!! I was able to chain vape in my parents' house, never missed a phone call or an email. I didn't get home til yesterday. Basically vaping saved my sanity.

Good for you, Elvin! This is just such a life-saver, isn't it?

Now I haven't had a seriously stressful situation such as yours yet, since I've been vaping, but my mind-set and anxiety-levels are completely different, basically since I first learned about e-cigs, before I even started vaping! I believed then, and have since found, that I can do all sorts of situations that in the past would have caused me anxiety -- not only just the natural anxiety of various life situations, but the added and all-pervasive anxiety of not being able to smoke freely in the situation.

And while I'm changing habits -- an important part of quitting smoking -- I find I am able to let go of more than just the smoking habit itself. I feel less chained to my old rituals in many areas. Except now I have new rituals, the e-cig maintenance :)

By the way, I haven't completely quit analogs yet. Not sure why I haven't exactly, but I know I will be able to once I firmly put myself to it.

Glad to hear everything turned out well. Vaping really is a lifesaver in that sense. You can do it basically anywhere, indeed absolutely anywhere so long as you don't get caught exhaling vapor for the 3 second period it's visible.
I have a part-time job at Starbucks and I love stealing away into the back for a second to take a drag when the day gets long and over-caffeinated.
