Allergies to both VG and PG has been identified and reported. If either child has one of these allergies, then depending on your juice, it could have an affect. Keep in mind, both PG and VG are common food additives and found in practically soup to nuts. You can adjust your juice to be 100% PG or VG if there is an allergic reaction. Easy for the docs to test for.

I would suspect allergies form the rains over second hand vapor. Unless they are practically on top of you when you vape, all they may get is a slight whiff of scent from some flavors. As Bill pointed out both PG and VG are rampant in everyday foods, cleaners, cosmetics and more, so that would be one of the last things I'd suspect.

I'm no doctor and as Sarahbear said, anything is possible. But I would be more inclined to think it's probably seasonal too. But since vapor really doesn't hang around very long, unlike tobacco smoke, you should be able to test the theory by vaping outside for a few days and see if they seem to get better. I'd be interested to see what the outcome would be!

Actually, rain would knock a lot of the pollen down so I think it has nothing to do with rain really. Rain, if anything, would help to allieve the symptoms - but only temporarily.

You stated that like me, you live in the South? Most likely it's an airborne (or Food) allergy that's giving them grief; mine have been kicking my .... lately - mostly pine & oak pollen and I don't even think it's pollenating season yet. Of course down here it seems it's year 'round! If you are really worried, try vaping only outside for a few weeks and see if there's a difference that's noticeable in their allergies.

Hint: don't announce you're going to vape outside...just do it. That way you're "research" will not be tainted with a "mental bias" one way or the other by others in the family knowing.

Know what I mean Vern? :p :?:

What billbeckusa said. But an "indirect" PG or (highly unlikely) VG allergic reaction would most likely produce more asthma like symptoms. And take a lot of exposure to do it. Like someone in a club getting overwhelmed/surrounded/buried by one of those fog machines - which run on PG.

These last two years have been the absolute worst on record for me regarding pollen & mold allergies. First time in 10 years I have had to resort to a round of Asmanex for therapy. Just sayin...

Hope the little varmits get some relief. Allergies to anything suck.

I would agree with this. My oldest son, as I said, has allergies - essentially hay fever type allergies all year round that has his on a script for singulair pills. He credits my smoking in the house with this, but it didn't ease up when he was on a 2 1/2 week vacation away with his grandparents (who don't smoke). BUT, it does get worse with rainy/humid weather.
Oh, and another note - my mother, who quit smoking 12 years ago because of her cardiovascular health (double femoral bypasses in both legs, plus a triple or quad heart bypass in a span of six months) doesn't allow smoking in her house - and my father smokes. But she allowed me to vape. But she's also a nurse, and when I mentioned that I was doing this, I would imagine she looked up the information she wanted to know. She was just eager for me to quit. Out of my father, and three of us kids, only my brother, and now I have quit smoking.
