Vaping...sometimes it feels like a no win situation...

I have been using the Logic brand for 7 months and E-cigs for 9 months...am 65 and smoked 2.5 packs per day for the last 20 years, Smoked for over 40 years. I now use no tobacco products (have not for 10 months..one month "cold turkey" and 9 months on e-cigs).
Other than some possible QC problems which have been getting better lately, the rechargeable Logics, with a 5 pack replacement lasts me from 5 - 8 days, averaging say $4.00/ day vs, regular cigs at $17.50/day. Other than the fact that the cartridges are not 100% consistant (about 20% have some defects like they have already been used) they are pretty much "plug and play".

Even their "throw away" batteries are rechargeable.

Haven't done the RBA thing yet, but, I think tanks with simple I expense cartos (like boge) are the most reliable and consistent vape without leaking and pretty simple refill. Tanks like Texas tuff or liquinator.

Well my two cents: I am new to vaping with tanks and carts. I use Volcano carts ATM with a tubetank. Not that i know much about tanks but this tank hasnt leaked and the cart hasnt flooded unless i drip into the cart by mistake. I am using !.5ohm dula coil. By no means is it perfect and i have 2 Triple Vs in the mail, and am switching to boge SR.

The problem is throwing "affordable" into the equation. There are things out there that will do what you want the Spheroid, Ody and Penelope are a few that come to mind. They work as designed and work very well. They might seem unaffordable at first but once you have them it's only a matter of wick and wire afterwards. The reason the clones and such are affordable is because they alter the design, use different materials, loosen tolerances and lower quality control. They do this to lower costs and speed production. This makes the product readily available and affordable but it also introduces all the issues you are wanting to avoid. If you think about how much you spend on "affordable" devices, only to find they don't do what you were hoping, it quickly adds up. It took a while for this to sink in for me and I've got a couple boxes of gear to prove it. Now I've got a couple of rock solid setups that work the same way everyday. I still play with some of the the new clones and stuff that come out but I'm not depending on them for my vaping experience. Some of them can be made to be pretty solid with a few modifications. The Pheonix clones do great by just adding an oring and making the air hole just a bit bigger. I didn't mention any Genisis attys but the same applies to them as well.
