Pretty sure the USDA regulates food products. Should the FDA regulate vape products?
Well. Everything in my veggie burgers are clinically shown to be safe to eat.
But this topic is interesting because suppose you have a bunch of ...... PETA members harassing you night and day to stop eating cows. And then one day you decide "Ok, I will have a veggie burger instead."
Not even ...... PETA members (and they are, I know) will then turn around and yell at you for eating something that resembles cow meat but which carries none of the e. coli typically found in ground beef. They would applaud you for finding an alternative which may be healthier and safer and certainly nicer for the cows.
Now if only we could bring the ANTZ to a place where they were less obnoxious than PETA![]()
Yes, yes. We should be applauded for having a safe alternative to smoking.
I don't think I could successfully quit beef it I had to wear a veggie burger patch.
Analogy Time
When I hear the criticism that vaping has not been proven safe:
I think your veggie burger should be banned because: it looks like beef, you are trying to imitate beef and veggie burgers have not gone thru exhaustive lengthy clinical trials to prove that they are safe.
So there!

Well that's what grinds my gears. For ages we've heard nothing but how smoking stinks and puts carcinogens in the air, and will eventually kill us. So we find something that does none of the above, and are still facing bans and social stigmas.

I don't see why e-juice manufacturers, who are overwhelmingly small business owners, have to prove beyond a doubt their products are safe, instead of giving vapers and the e-cig industry the benefit of the doubt. This attitude that ANTZ have that vapers are presumed guilty until they prove themselves innocent is un-American IMO.
If anything, the ANTZ should have to prove their prejudices against e-cigs and juices, something they can't do without jumping to conclusions, suppression of facts about vaping that disprove their anti-nicotine narrative, or even outright fabrication to turn the public against vapers.
