When I used to smoke and I'd get a cold, against my better judgment, I'd continue smoking and my symptoms would last weeks. I'd always end up with bronchitis or a upper respiratory infection. Currently, I have a cold and though I have cut back on vaping, due to a lack of desire, my symptoms are rapidly decreasing. My secretary, on the other hand, is now into her second week of loud hacking. Almost sounds like she has a death rattle.

Of course, I get little to no flavor from vaping at this time, but now I can get rid of some of this really crappy e-liquid I purchased from a local B&M instead of throwing it away.

Keep in mind that PG is a mild disinfectant. I don't know if it does anything about the common cold, though.

I vaped through my last cold. It was my first since quitting smoking, and wasn't all that bad. It went away fast, too. I don't know if it was the no-smoking thing or the PG or something else that did it.

I used to get exactly the same when I smoked and vaped. Although it was interesting that I could smoke fine but vaping would be way too harsh and I would end up in a coughing fit! The only way around it was severely dropping the nic content. On the plus side I went through the whole of December and January without a cold due to little/no smoking :D

I always smoked when I had a cold too, and usually ended up with a sinus infection. Since I started vaping I've only had 1 cold and it only lasted 3 days. That's gotta be some kind of record for me. Usually they would start out in my head and end up going to my chest where it stayed until spring.

I managed to make it through most of this Winter without illness, but my kids are little vectors. They are constantly bringing a plague into our home.

Here's my experience points:

1. When I stopped smoking cigs I wasn't ill for 5 years.
2. When I started vaping I once got reintroduced to the occasional cold.
3. When I'm ill I don't vape. I vape too much anyway, so this is a good time for me to step back and put things into perspective. (Usually I vape 12mg nicotine juices, zero would be tempting… I will think about it the next time).
