I bought a few different flavors and splurged on Super Concentrated Vanilla Sponge Cake and a Super Concentrated Sweet Vanilla. I made a bavarian cream 80/20 vg mix @ 4mg that was excellent to me. added a single drop of the vanilla spongecake and it was awful. Am I the only one who doesn't care for this flavor? I thought it was the mix so I did a drop in a ml of vg, yuck. added another ml of vg and still yuck. I get this weird chemical taste. Even the stuff I have had steeping for a week has the same taste. yes I know a week is a very short steep time. But it seems that after a week it should some hint of flavor I would like.

I have read many good things about these Super concentrated flavors and really want to like them. I love the Bavarian Cream, Cream ( I add 2 drops to 5ml of nicoticket gravity= Unbelievably delicious), and the cotton candy is ridiculously sweet but tasty. these last three are not the super concentrated type. Just curious others opinions before I try a different super concentrated flavor.

If you're referring to the Gourmet Vanilla Sponge Cake flavoring, that stuff is very very strong and I suspect you may have used too much. Even at one drop in 10ml was too much for me and using with another flavoring would probably over power it at that %. You might try making it as a single flavor first and then add that to your mixes.

I haven't used that specific flavor, but I have used others in the line and love them. The super concentrate/gourmet SC flavors recommend percentage is 1-2.5% maybe just a little more. You said you tried making 1ml, I put that in a eliquid calculator at 2.5%, flavor amount was .03ml (when I clicked the drops button to show the recipe in drops it came to 0 drops)

For 15ml at 2.5% flavor amount is .38ml, according to the calculator 8 drops, I'd use less then add until you get the flavor to your liking. Hope that helps, but personally speaking, I would be very careful and use this sparingly if you're going to measure with drops just because they can vary.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe the SC line is actually baker flavors out of russia. They are very very strong, but excellent when mixed right.

Must be careful using drops they are a poor unit of measure. Most calculators default to 20 drops per ml but the alcohol based flavoring are closer to 48-50 drops per ml. Even the PG based flavors are many more per ml than the 20 drop default.

AZ Plumber you are correct. So just to make sure I have this straight. 1 drop in say 15 ml (or more) and then use that sparingly if I want to add it to something else. similar to how you use Acetyl Pyrazine?

Maybe try putting 1 drop in 5mls PG and use that as the flavoring concentrate. So 1 ml would = 1/5th of a drop.

Just to clarify. I don't generaly use drops as a unit of measure. I use a syringe. I have 1ml, 3ml, 10ml, and 20ml with assorted blunt tip needles. Was just experimenting, trying to figure out this flavor. I am sure along the way I will run into a number of flavors that I just don't like. This might be one of them.

Danny I did just that last night. 1 drop in 5ml of pg.

i have not tried that flavor but i do use around 20 of the others in the vz super concentrate line and found most fruits are great right after mixing but for example the watermelon is a horrible chemical taste when mixed but if it sits for 2wks with the cap on and i burp the bottle once a week by the second week its transformed into a great juice and by the 3rd week its some of the best watermelon ive made , so it may just need to sit so it can blossom

The gourmet line is from russia. The other super concentrate flavors I suspect may be flavor express, but cant say for sure as I haven't tried flavor express. If you compare the lines though, there are many that match or have name changed but same flavor, as well as having similar percentage suggestions, 1-3%.
