Hello,
I am just starting out with this vaping.
My question is. I am a heavy smoker and don't have any issues when I smoke, but want to quit so I got a vapor for christmas the Endura T18. Is it normal to have a hard time inhaling when I hit the vapor. It seems to leaving me choking and coughing hard every time I hit it. Is there a certain way that one hits it?

it's normal it will pass get more air less dense vape when I first started I augmented the density by not keeping full seal on mouthpiece since I started on crummy pen and less airflow devices. But lungs get used to it and less thought bugger hits happen

I can remember when I first started and couldn't believe I was coughing from vapor but not from smoke. It did take some time to get use to, but it was my vaping technique that made the difference. I kind of thought about it as a 2 step process, one , bringing into the mouth and holding it for a second or 2 , then inhaling.

I had trouble for the first few days, the inhale was very different. Just press the button let your mouth fill with vaper for a few seconds sucking lightly, then drag it back like you would a smoke. If after time its not working out for you, there's always direct lung inhale to try on a device that creates more vaper.

I am glad the link answered your questions. I had trouble when I first started, in fact we all did....lol.

Just some friendly advice to help you quit smoking.

1. Buy a bunch of coils and lots of juice you like. It really sucks when you run out and sometimes it's just to tempting/easier to buy a pack of smokes.

2. Your device will break, leak, or whatnot. Nothing lasts for ever and I suggest getting a backup device.

3. Take your time and learn your setup and how to get your best possible vape before jumping to a new setup. There will always be newer fancier setups but they won't do you any good, if you haven't mastered the basics.

4. ECF is a great source of info. We all want to see you quit smoking. If you have questions search the forum and if all else fails.....ask :)

Every smoker that wants to try my vape pen ends up coughing. My roommate who ended up switching coughed every time, confused the hell out of him and he'd try so hard not to lol...

Anyways after he asked for my help I ended up getting him a super tank mini, some ccells and an evic mini. I think after he got his new gear the coughing pretty much stopped.

Thanks it did answer my questions. I particularly enjoyed the advice it gives towards the end about not using a lighter to try and ignight the end of my vape.:)

Trust me, you weren't the first. A lot of us have been there. I started on cigarette sized vapes with a red plastic end that glowed when you inhaled. Melted the ends of several of them. Stop carrying a lighter is the easiest way to fix that one.

My wife and I started 4 1/2 years ago after 40 years of heavy smoking. It was effortless for me because I was always a mouth-to-lung smoker. My wife struggled because she had been a direct-to-lung smoker. (Boy, you think you know someone, but after 40 years you learn something new. Wonder what else she has been hiding from me?)

That being said, I never had any trouble with my first cartomizers or top coil devices. As devices got more powerful and subohmy, I can still choke myself on hot harsh clouds. I tend to prefer the lower watt, narrow mouthpiece types that seem more like smoking.
