Vapor causing dryness of nasal passage?

Is it just me or is the e-juice vapor drying out your nostrils? I was playing poker in a card room the other day and my nose started bleeding out of nowhere. I suspect it is because of my e-cig use. My boogers have an abnormal discoloration to it and have been gunking up. When I exhale I can't help but to exhale parts of the vapor out of my nose. Has anyone else had problems such as mine? It's starting to become an annoyance.

I started using e-cigs to replace analogs and not to quit, however after going through a lot of headaches and problems I think I will just quit once my supply is gone. No nicotine what so ever. I know many of you have successfully quit through the use of e-cigs and I'm just curious on how you're doing right now. I tend to get very irritated when I don't smoke/vap and lose my temper more often. My head is also clouded when I do not have any nicotine in my system. Any suggestions from the above 2 topics would be nice. Thanks in advance.

You are correct,
You will read many people that say that and to drink plenty of water or liquids, some say it's the PG, and adding or getting the juice in VG will help a little.

If you don't do well without nicotine, maybe you could up the amount of water you drink and see if that helps with the dryness. A humidifier would probably help too.

I have not had any nose bleeds at all vaping, smoking is very bad on your body I was going to die if I kept smoking, drink plenty of water and get some saline nasal spray for your nose bleeds it works.

I did have a bunch of dryness.

The inside of my nose seemed like it was the day after it had a sunburn on the inside, or really chapped. It itched a lot, and so dry I could not blow it.

This went away about the time I started mixing my own juice, now that I think about it. During this time, I was using pre-made juice I bought locally. I believe that it was PEG or PG with no VG.

Maybe it was the juice.

I mix my juice 30% PG / 30% VG / 20% eLiquid(PG based) / 10% Flavor (LorAnn) / 10% Distilled water. Maybe this has more moisture than the other stuff I was using at fist.

Today I used like a 80%PG mix to test for more throat hit, it had some VG, distilled water, and flavor in it too... So I don't know if PG was my issue, maybe it was PEG? Maybe the added water, and VG helps?

Mine was getting sore like that for the last year or so I smoked. I attributed to having very dry skin bacause it was the worst Fall going into Winter.
This year I have had no trouble at all.

Ok now that that's out of my system:

I quit cigarettes day 1 of vaping. before vapin if I wasn't able to have an analog I would go crazy..I was so dependant of the habit and nic. Now that I vape... I honestly don't feel the need to do it as often... a hit or two from the PV here and there through out the day, but I can go without alot longer than when I smoked.

I don't know how it happened I mean I vape 11-18mg only nic liquid which isn't really much.

I guess if I was to give a tip is just try to space out your vaping and see how long you can hang......

Honestly not sure if this follows what you were wanting in the OP ,, I really wanted to point out booger hehe

Oh and drink water... that IS probably the most helpful advice for your first issue...nothing like cotton mouth in the morning

Water, so simple a caveman can do it. Yet, I did not even think of drinking more water. Lol .... Anyways, I will hydrate and possibly switch to VG based e-liquid in the near future, hopefully I get results.

No ,seriously, don't know where you are located, but if winter and indoors plus the drying effect of vaping,you gotta keep hydrated.
I know when I don't drink enough fluids, I get bone dry and vaping from what I understand causes some muscle cramps or soreness, it does for me in neck, plenty of H2O should help a lot. Pretty small stuff compared to what the analogs do.

I never heard about dry nose and myself I don't feel the difference but when I was smoking cigarettes I've got sore throat quite often. I think when the atomizer is heating up the liquid it's like steam and steam is not fry at all.

Our Dr. use to recommend using some Vaseline in the nose during the winter when the air is so dry. Might help.

Regular smoking huh? I've smoked analogs for 10 years and never had that problem, or any that I could recall. I think it's cause of the e-juice i'm using, the fruity ones and chocolate tend to turn my nose into desert storm. I'm going to buy the nasal spray someone suggested earlier.

I've come to the conclusion that it is a combination of weather, vapor & dehydration.

ok thats outa my system, i wanted to post a thread like this too .. but didnt want people thinking i sit around and pick my nose lmao.... anywho i noticed since i started vaping, i too have a pretty dry nose (maybe it will help when i get a cold lmao) and that sometimes i have dried bloody boogz lol (sorry so nasty but..) so your not alone man!!!

i get it too, maybe cause all the bad mucos build up from analogs are expelling from our system???? i also get chapped lips a lot now. i had using chapstick when i vape cause the cartridge gets chapstick on it. its annoying. im gonna try the halls moiturizers. they might help!

Yep, dry nose and dry lips, which I only usually get when it's real cold outside, they say to drink plenty of water, trouble is I hate the stuff.
