vapor flask dna 40 problems

I recently posted a question about an evic supreme and wanted to say thanks to those that responded, the responses were very helpful! I recently purchased a vapor flask dna 40. Although I am relatively new to vaping about 1 year this device is very inconsistent compared to others I own. This is to say the least a disappointment. Using two kanger sub tanks one with .5 ohm coil one with kanger ooc nickel coil. Some times the device recognizes a switch between the two sometimes not. When it does not recognize the switch to occ nickel the vape is alarmingly hot!! When it does recognize (set at 450/20watts) the vape is really good, if I put ti down for 5 minutes or more the vape is cold and non existent. If I loosen the tank reattach it will recognize and give a few great vapes. then back to non existent, does well with the rta. My question is are they a company that stands behind the product, will they help me resolve these issues? Has anyone had problems and had them rectified? If so was it relatively easy or a long drawn out tedious process?

Hi wickedz4u and welcome aboard!

The issues you are describing are due to the chip in the device, not the device itself. Not sure when it will be fixed or if mod manufacturers will do any sort of replacement, but these issues were detailed in PBusardo's two-part review:
A PBusardo Review - The Evolv DNA 40 - Part 1
A PBusardo Review - The Evolv DNA 40 - Part 2

Hope it helps and Happy Vaping!

If you're using a DNA40 device and you haven't seen the PBusardo review (especially part 2 which is linked below) then you really do need to watch it. The issue you're having is a known problem with the refinement, he goes into detail on it at around the 31 minute mark in the video.

ETA: It looks like Rsunderl got the answer in while I was looking for the right part of the video.

Thanks for all of your responses to my inquiry and for the welcoming. I have contacted vapin art they gave me contact info vapor flask (so much for seller resolution!). I have emailed them with my concerns and asked for help in resolving this. I think it wise at this juncture to also forward my e mail to vapor flask to the folks at evolv and see what they both have to say. Since I began this thread I continued to try and use the flask with an rta as it seemed to function with a non nickel coil. Well it proved itself unable to do this consistently as well!! Between two vapes it went from fully charged to empty and would not fire. I removed the batteries and reinstalled them (the same ones, sony vct4's) and voila, it fired and showed fully charged. Wow really $300 dollars!! Have purchased 9 vv/vw devices all at lower price points none with dna chips that all work very consistently some that give in my opinion great vapes. Thanks to all again.

I bought a VF from vapin art. It was faulty right out of the box. My friend had the same issue. I sent it to VF for repair. They repaired it and sent me the tracking number 3 days after it was dropped off is someone else's . I got lucky and got it back. Bottom line is this. VF quality control is terrible and their communication is worse than their quality control. That's my experience with them. I hope you get your issue resolved.

Okay big shout out to Rsundrel and Rucerius THANKS! Took the time to watch the Busardo reviews. I know that what I am experiencing is what it is. So I am left with one of two things a a beautiful vw mod that performs very well with an rta and or a temp control device that is to say the least very finicky and borderline dangerous with the kanger occ nickel when it fires in non temp control mode!! I will still await responses from vapor flask and evolv. Thanks again,
