I just started with the ecig. I got 1 question when I put a cart on my vapor king xl and get it tight. It works but i get a lot of rushing air at base of cart at battery and I get very little vapor. I found that if I seal it off with my finger its 60% better. I quick fixed it by putting tape around it 100% better. I only purchased 1 battery and I tried several different carts and they all need a little tape. Is that how its supposed to be or is this battery a flunky?

There is a video in their forum here with a fix for batteries and cartos but I don't think it addressed your problem. It addresses if not making electrical connection.
Vapor4Life

You using auto batteries? If so did you get any juice leaks on the end of the battery? Maybe the drag sensor is sticking? I use all manuals. Enter a ticket on their site and ask about it.

I noticed the same thing with the Vapor King XL battery. I've got a few different brands of KR808D batteries and the Vapor King lets in more air between the battery and the cartomizer than the other brands I have. I've got 4 of the XL's and they're all the same, so I doubt you've got a lemon. If you look just below the threads on the battery, you'll see 4 very small holes on the side. Maybe you could plug 1 or 2 of them with something? It also occurs to me that maybe you're trying to draw on the e-cig a little too quickly. The liquid has to have enough time to heat up, so if you draw too quickly it won't produce much vapor. I've never timed it, but I'd guess I drag on an e-cig at about half the rate as an analog.
BTW, the XL's I have are manual batteries so my comments may not be applicable to the automatic version.

Have both a 510 and V4L. I'm split between the two of them and really the only gripe I have with my V4L is exactly what you describe - all the air and easy drag. I'm going to try taping off the holes as described. I also ordered 2 additional KR808D1 batteries from another vendor and I hope that they are better than the V4L models with regard to the air flow.

I'm using a auto, I noticed right off the bat it was a problem for me with the small pinholes on the battery, Being new to all of this I just wanted too see if I was doing something wrong. I did pick up another brand battery and not having the same problem. So if I'm understanding other people this isn't a problem I would have if I switched over to a vap king xl manual?

I only have the manual version, so I can't compare it with the auto version of the V4L XL, so take the following with a grain of salt. If your auto XL has 4 holes, then I'd bet that's a problem. On top of the pinholes, auto batteries also get air through the battery itself, which is what the auto-switch inside the battery detects to turn itself on. So if your auto battery has 4 pin holes its likely giving you too much air flow, in which case the manual version might work for you since it has no airflow thru the battery itself. But if the auto only has 2 pin holes, then I'd guess the manual version with its 4 pin holes, might give you the same problem as the auto. But again, this is all speculation. It's going to be a gamble. BTW, if you've found one that works for you, why not stay with it?

See the video in the sticky threads of the Vapor4Life section of the forum - it might help. Easy Fix video
Vapor4Life

Make sure your battery's pole is clean (and the carto's too). See if the inner circles of the threaded ends of each look evenly raised. Maybe they aren't making good contact. See the video.

And when you get 5 posts or replies in New members then wait an hour, you'll be able to post in the Vapor4Life section. You can also open a ticket on their website.
