Thank you everyone for your input. The bottom line I take away is : Try them all until you find a flavor you like :)

Yep. I've found this is why it's so difficult to describe vaping in terms a smoker understands. All their questions are, "How does <INSERT CHARACTERISTIC> compare to cigarettes?", and every single answer starts with, "It depends..."

As for the 'comfort' feeling, I'll second (or third) the coffee flavors. I hate coffee. Hate it in a cup, in candy, in ice cream. Hate it.

Chatting with a supplier (Donley at Want2vape if anyone cares) about the kinds of flavor I like (sweet vs bitter vs fruity, etc) the word "coffee" never came up. He sent me some samples (which was shocking as I'd never even bought anything) and a couple of the samples were coffee flavors. Since I've always been a "don't knock it 'til you try it" kind of guy, I tried them and discovered to my surprise that I loved them.

Campfire coffee is something I'd physically attack someone for offering me in a cup, but as a vape - pure relaxation.

On a related note, I'd seen threads where someone mentioned 555 tasting like dirty socks and one of the samples Donley sent me was 555. I chuckled and sniffed it - I wouldn't call it dirty socks, but I could understand why someone would. Filling a cartomizer with it just because, I tried vaping it. I didn't go running around the house desperately looking for something to wash my mouth out, but I didn't fall in love either.

A couple of minutes later, I had the urge to try it again. Same 'meh' effect. A couple more minutes later I get the urge again. I can't explain it. It's like when you get an odd smell on your fingers and can't stop sniffing them. Now my sample is gone and I'm ordering more because I found myself mixing it with different flavors because it adds that undertaste I find fascinating (even though I can't say why).

Anyway, as much as it sucks, "Try different flavors", is the best advice anyone can give. Some people think Jennifer Garner is hot. I'm pretty sure she's a guy. I hate peaches. A buddy of mine will cheerfully kill a roomful of people for a taste of peach.

So try different flavors (and even try the ones you're sure you'll hate... you will find yourself being surprised.)

I purchased a V4L kit and would like to get some feedback on cartridges that taste most like my old analog cigs. I smoked Camel, Marlboro and American Spirit full flavors. I tried the WOW 555 as I read they were as close to real tobacco, however they don't seem it to me. I would consider filling my own but would hate to invest in a flavor I do not care for. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Moleshire, it's like this; imagine someone gave you (or let you have for really cheap) a maserati and you were sort of unhappy that the cup holders aren't in the same place that they were in your old mitsubishi.

It's just not going to be exactly the same, but if you keep and open mind and experiment you might like it better.

In a past life, I wouldn't be caught dead smoking a Parliament analog. After having tried about 8 different tobacco juice flavors, I like "Parliament" the best. To echo some of the previous comments, you really need to try a flavor first to determine if you like it. The amount of nicotine and the PG/VG ratio can also effect the overall experience. Don't shy away from a flavor just because of the name (unless you easily fall prey to the psychological influences).

Not that I noticed. To me it tasted just like a burning cigarette... and again, this was out of a pre-filled cart, with taste buds that hadn't been acquainted with an analog in a little over half a year. Maybe just a hint of something that could be described as "peppery?" I know V4L has two pre-filled tobacco flavored sampler packs, they might be worth a try to test some waters...

A while back, I got a free sample carto of V4L's "Parlament" 18mg liquid. To me, it tasted dead-up like a cigarette, which wasn't good to me after 7 months of not smoking. It could also be my memory going fuzzy on what burned tobacco tasted like. It would be worth a shot.

Haha I did get that in my first order with the kit. I chose the tobacco sampler to be included with my initial order. I was hoping that if I found something that resembled an analog smoke, I would be have a smoother transition to e-smokes. That Parlament absolutely sucked! It was weak and talk about old socks! I have had a Parliment or two in my day and I must admit, it did very much smell like one. If Parliments were the only analog cigarettes available, I would have quit smoking long ago :)

After my post in the forum and all the replies, my mind has been opened to trying all the flavors until I find one I like. As for the Maserati anology, give me the Maserati. I can live with or without the cupholders :)

I too am a V4L customer and they are always throwing in free samples of different flavors. My personal favorite is Kamel Menthol Nobacco juice but I like just about any menthol. In my last shipment they included a rootbeer and carmel and surprisingly I enjoyed both. I have to say as others have, that you need to try the unusual flavors and combinations because many times you will be surprised at your reaction to them.

I agree. I never in a million years would have thought I'd like anything called "Strawberry Twist" ...Well it has become one of my favorite vapes. FSUSA has me sold on it.

Amen, Moleshire.... when I first started vaping, I loaded up on different 'baccy flavors, looking for "my" brand... some were ok, but mostly they disappointed, and none of them tasted "real" to me. Luckily, I mixed it up with other flavors that I thought, 'well, that couldn't possibly be good to smoke'...

...so about 3 weeks ago, I gave away the last of my tobacco flavors. They all taste like ... to me now. Welcome to the Maserati club.
