you'll be happy with either the 510 or the ego. one of my first pv's was a manual joye 510. i picked it because it was small and resembled a cigarette. it worked very well for me. the only downside was the battery life. i was only able to get 2 hours at the most out of them before having to recharge. i ended up buying a pcc for it to be sure i'd have a way to charge while away from the house.

i don't own an ego. but having read about the long battery life and it's performance with a LR atomizer, i do wish i had considered buying it instead of my 510. it just seems more convenient.

i can only tell you what i would do if i were in your situation with the knowledge i have now. good luck making your decision.

I have an eGo and it was my second pv and I really wish it was my first. If you do decide on getting it make sure you press the button down right or else you could mess it up to where it sticks. Also, make sure you keep it in a cargo pocket or in a seperate case because I have had the button stick on me while sitting down and then notice that my leg was burning and I smelled burnt VG juice which is none to appetizing. Other than those 2 things I have had zero issues with it at all! Long battery and with LR atty's, it has a nice kick to it! Good luck!

Welcome to the forum Blazin!

I have a 510 and I normally carry around my standard batt because it's discrete and fits better in my shirt pocket. If I'm going to a bar, I would definitely take my eGo battery because the standard would not make through the evening.

The eGo is not that big. When I got mine I was surprised at its size, a little larger around than my pinkie, and little longer than a std 510. But it's incredible. You can vape from happy hour to closing.

You also asked about suppliers. Definitely cignot. They're unbelievable. Read their reviews in the supplier forum.

Best of luck in your purchase!

Hey blazin,
I think you and I smoke the same amount of analogs (not so much on the week/work days but smoke alot on the weekends/drinking). Most of my friends have the 510, but after researching more via this great forum i deceided on the eGO for the battery life as I didn't want to bother with extra accessories. I ordered it last Thursday and eagerly waiting for it to start vaping.

If you end up going with the eGo, I recommend ordering off Janty. They have a great warranty and have treated me really well.

I've had my eGo for about four months now and go through two batteries a day. Usually when I go out for the day I take the eGo I'm currently using, a spare battery, an extra atomizer and my e-liquid. Note: be sure to put the spare batt "in" something instead of just letting it float freely in a pocket. I was doing that and pocket lint got up inside the battery and caused some problems.

Happy vaping!

Another vote for the Ego, I have had a few pvs now and the Ego is my go to every time.
You dont need a charging case for it, it will last all day. you dont need a pass through either.
It comes set up for a 510 atty so if you really want to you can use a standard 510 battery on it,
As for taking it in public, I am a grandma LOL, and I take my Ego everywhere.
Frankly I dont give a hoot LOL> A young person in a pub will just look cool with it, much
better then I do hahaha!

Just a quick FYI, you might want to try Janty's eGo because I believe they were the first to come out with it? I am not 100% on that so do your own research, but trust me they have some copies that are real garbage. I am not going into detail here because some may like theirs better and that may be all good and what not, but I have known a few friends that have gone with the eGo knock off's that end up being crap and then they give up and go back to analogs. I know some people have their opinion about Janty, which is why I am in the military so we can have opinions, but I believe they really do provide a good quality product. Just test the grounds and what not and see what you like. Don't give up and just see what works for you and soon enough I am sure you will find what you have been looking for. Good luck and if you go with the eGo I am sure you will be very pleased, but there are other devices that may work better for you. I love my eGo, but I think I am going to go with something a little different when I am home. That is the beauty of it all! thousands of choices and no matter what you go with its better than what your starting with! Best of luck!!!

i still use a a 510 and know that altho it was was about the best deal maybe 2 months ago it pales in comparison to an eGo type with a cartomizer, the old set up was very bad with the atomizer smelling/tasting burnt and leaking and flooding and most of the cartridge would only pick up half or less of its' small supply of juice. i now mostly use my Hello 016 battery ( about the same as an eGo but 1300mah ) and the soft tip cartomizers, they are fantastic compared to a 510

======================================

june 15 smoked 04 cigs 36 less than my usual 40 cigs a day 1475 cigarettes not smoked in 43 days by using a Joye 510 Vaporizer (ecig) $0.28 per cig X 1475 Cigs = $413.00 diverted from cigarettes to Vaporizer (ecig) I have spent over $750.00 on ecigs and supplies so far, what? you would rather not hear about "the cost of not smoking"? :p

I'd go with the Ego from Janty. Janty has a great warranty. Sooner or later you'll have something go wrong with whatever you use, so have spares of everything.

I had an atty go cold on me a while back, I had a spare-- whew. I contacted Ethan at Janty through their online support -- a replacement came to me quickly.

There's plenty of info on ECF to help you make your decision-- take your time and enjoy.
