Vapor Production @ 0.8-1.0 Ohms - am I wicking it wrong?

I've built my IGO-W4 countless times now everyday for the last 3 weeks.

The 2*airholes are drilled to 2mm.

I've tried to follow any advice I've got and these are the few rules I apply currently:

- Coil as close to airhole/edge as possible
- 2-3mm space underneath the coil
- Lightly folded cotton - just lightly touching with a handpalm without applying pressure and making a stiff point for threading before wicking.

juice: 60/40 PG/VG - Not going to cross 50% VG and sacrifice flavour.

I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong here ... I've borrowed a VTC4 for week also and did some 0.4-0.6 builds - not seeing a big increase, but somewhat an increase - I'm much better now at building, but I feel like the technique is what is missing, or a few rule of thumb to increase both vapor and flavor all in all. The best flavor I've got so far in my IGO-W4 is with a microcoil and threaded cotton cloud - It kinda lifted all flavor to a whole new level.

I also just got an Origen and the vapor production is similar - although they are two very different devices.

Any ideas? :) Thanks for listening!

I don't think there is anyway around this... Higher VG.

I have a patriot clone with a .6 ohm build in it and was using some 65/35 pg/vg making nice flavor but little clouds. I picked up some 100% straight VG at wal-mart last night, dripped a couple of drops and WOW! Wicked thunderheads come rolling out! Tough choice: flavor or vapor?

How about nano coils - smaller diameter, fires faster == more heat on less ohms == more vapor ?
(Maybe use some higher gauge - to get fewer wraps to the nano to deliver air more efficiently through the airhole ?)

I also aligned my coils perfectly with my 2mm airholes - I can see them directly trough the top cap glowing just on the other side - they are only millimeters from touching the edge!

Are you doing mouth to lung inhales or straight lung inhales? I get massive clouds at .5 with 50/50 juice by doing lung inhales but if I do mouth to lung, I don't get much vapor at all.

Direct to the lung!

Sorry to thread jack but does Wal-Mart really sell juice?

100% VG (no nicotine)

6 oz (177 ml) for $3.86 and looks like this...

There is another thread here on ECF about some people feeling sick after using it but I feel fine, there's just a slight sweet taste to it and it works good for making clouds.

I think you are going to have to sacrifice some flavor to get big clouds. I would make the airholes bigger, 3mm minimum. Get higher VG juice, and drop the resistance. I recommend just building two more coils. If you are .6 with the ones you have you'll hit .3 if you add two more.

I have really enjoyed quad coils. Tons of vapor, but none of the coils have to heat as much as they do with duals. This allows the vape to stay a little cooler and allows the wicking to keep up better. Just my .02
