Vapor quite a bit more harsh on my throat than smoking?

I had difficulty at first- my throat would become irritated, but thankfully I knew someone online who was a vaper and she explained to me that it does take some getting used to and to drink liquids in between vapes. I was dubious at first, but kept at it and now, I actually prefer vaping over the hits I get from an analog. Of course, I must admit I went through various nic levels and tried different flavours until I found the right mix for me. It takes some experimenting, and that seems to be the general consensus around here-- everyone eventually finds what they like and are comfortable with.

Sometimes it depends on the equipment you are using as well. Or even the charge of your battery. With Dual Coils i get a good throat hit using an eGo battery. Sometimes a little too strong if i try it when i first wake up. Usually for mornings i use Boge 510s at 2.0ohms and they give me the satisfaction without the harsh throat hit.

I also have an eGo.. it's 900 mah with the USB passthrough (which is great, cause even if the battery starts "dying" I can plug it in and still vape while it's charging. I just find it strange that I used to smoke marlboro light cigs, but yet can't seem to get enough throat hit from pv's. I recently got an XXXL dual coil carto, which at least I can slightly feel in my throat. However, it seems to suck up or "waste" a lot of juice. I'd like to try vaping at a higher voltage, but money is really tight and it'll probably be awhile before I can afford to get a new pv, such as variable voltage, but would love to be able to get some throat hit that actually satisfies my cravings. I've read that low resistance cartos can provide more throat hit, but that they burn out way quicker. I'd love to be able to try one, but they are more expensive and just can't really afford one right now, especially if they don't last as long. Maybe eventually I'll be able to afford a PV with higher voltage, or at least a low-res atty. Till then I'll just deal with what I have! :)
