I'm highly considering buying one. But the stock battery is keeping my from doing so. Would it be possible to upgrade it to something higher capacity? If so what should i look for in the battery besides the amp rating and size?

You can assume they found the highest amperage battery that would fit their enclosure.
Just wait. They are close to releasing an 18650 version. I believe it is called the VaperShark RDNA. They have a photo on their FB. But it has their silicone wrap on it, so you can't see any details.
