My first week vaping, and on the forum. I have seen some posts about vapor tongue, but haven't been able to figure out what it really is. It sounds pretty scary, is it something that usually happens? Hard to get rid of? I have been vaping pretty often while waiting for my juice with higher nicotine to come on Monday. Still smoking some analogs here and there. Just got a little nervous I guess..

Like Big said it is not a big deal....more of an annoying thing that happens. I'm a year and a half in and it happens to me frequently. Make sure you stay hydrated and switch flavors often. I usually keep tanks of different juice loaded and ready to go so i can switch often. I've heard that gargling with salt water helps too. I've also heard of people vaping unflavored juice for a few days to give your tastebuds a break. Good luck! You might be one of the lucky ones that never had a problem!

Thanks! I started it out with just the menthol 12mg. Even that tastes really good to me, way better than analogs. Already, after only 5 days, I would rather vape than have an analog. It's just not enough for me, so I took the advice on here and ordered some 18mg. Hopefully that will help. It's almost like I feel I need the analog for more nicotine but I dread smoking it lol.

I have a sample pack with different flavors on the way, and a few more clearos so I will take that advice and switch it up as well. Can't wait! :)

I feel like an expert in it because I'm one of the "lucky" ones who's had it TWICE since I started vaping only a month ago. It does go away, it does suck and it's is frustrating especially since I did everything both times to avoid it. I switch up flavors constantly, drank a load of water, used Biotene gel...you name it.

The wild thing is my taste buds and smell were coming back from analogs. I could taste food, smell cut grass but could NOT taste vape. First time lasted 9 days, second 3. I would pay HUGE dollars for the person who invents "vapors tongue drops" to prevent it. LOLOLOL

Also I did eat dill pickles and that help some.

Hhmmmm, may have to try this if it happens again or jalapeño peppers I read else where BUT...I am NOT going to get it again. *Crossing fingers and willing it to never return..*. I stocked up on Fusion so I also vape that to give the taste buds a break.

i found a fix for this. it worked for me. i changed from a minty mouth wash to biotene and the biggest help was the use of a orabrush tongue scrapper. three times a day. the biotene alone did not work. using a tooth brush on my tongue did not work. it wasnt till i got the tongue scrapper that i saw a big difference. also i drink alot of tap water all day. i went thru months of really not being able to taste my juice. food was ok just not the ejuice. i have also found that putting chap stick on my lips makes me have trouble tasting my vape.

How many days in did it take for you to get the vape tongue? I'm going on 3 days and I'm just wondering myself. I haven't really switched flavors though I just been chain vaping nhaler nuport and its great lol. I figure chain vaping is way better than grabbing an analog!

I, myself, have not gotten it. I have more or less been chain vaping as well as a few analogs here and there. I'm going to take the suggestions and not worry about it until when/if it happens. Good Luck!

It happened to me within the first week of vaping...the second time was just a half week ago

And I did try tongue scrapping, lightly brushing the tongue...no help at all. Just gave it time and I cut way back on vaping (didn't have unflavored at the time to switch to). It was tough because I was craving nic so bad. I ended up getting 4 mg of nic gum to tie me over.
