Hi,

I have tried pure vg and I can tell you this: VG is extremely thick, I found it left my mouth, teeth, tongue and throat, coated with a thick film. (think Vaseline), Because pure vg base is so heavy, it does mute flavor and throat hit considerably. It was like vaping vegetable cooking oil alone. Exactly.

Through trial and error, I realize that I react badly to high VG, Or even moderate levels.
I become terribly congested. My throat feels like it's stuffed with saw dust, I develop a cough and sore throat. Just can't vape it. Go figure. I tried the VG because it is reputed to be a more "natural" (vegetable), base.

Maybe if you double, (or triple.), up on the flavoring? Never tried that. Hope it works out for you.

YUK! I'm in no hurry to try it. That confirms what I've read from others who've tried it. Supposedly great vapor though if you happen to like it. (I think that's why they put a little bit in the Premium juice maybe, for vapor). idk ...

Great vapor. That's true. I'm trying to see if I can acclimate myself to a 90/10 pg/vg blend, I find that's plenty enough vapor for me. It can also soften some of the harsher flavors. If used properly it does have some pluses. Fortunately for me, pg has never given me a bit of trouble, and prefer the consistency. My atties stay cleaner too! =)

I'm also having issues with the sticky phlegm and film, and I haven't narrowed it down but my symptoms seems similar to what people describe as issues with VG. I have no pure VG cartos, but I have a mix of premium and WOW, and it seems that I get the worse reaction with the WOW cartos. I thought I'd heard/read that the WOWs had more VG and that gave them the better vapor production. Am I way off on this? Which has more VG, premium/coolcarts or wow? Or does that depend on the flavor, too?

Well, i got the new VG WOW 555's in the other day and i think i prefer them.
However, i'm noticing that i can't vape them in the evenings. For some reason they make me cough at night.
The flavour isn't as strong as the PG based cartos either. I was told that VG had a stronger flavour. But i'm not getting that from them at all.
They have a different dryer flavour it feels like. Much less sweet tasting and more earthy if that's the way to describe it. That much i do like. As i get the 555 taste, but it's got this other taste with it, not sure what to call it. I think it's just the VG gives it a different taste.
Vapour production wise, well i'm sold on that aspect that's for sure. It's close to a full on cloudy sky when i exhale lol. Love that big cloud.

Overall, i'm looking forward to seeing juice bottles of this stuff. But would love a fuller flavour from them.

Wow you, and the other poster who described "sticky phlegm" described my VG situation perfectly. Though I'd call it a 'gag reflex' more than a coughing. When I vape VG in the morning it feels like a "tie tied too tight" so to speak. But no issues the rest of the day.

With PG I don't have the immediate issues but after a couple weeks of vaping PG I tend to get a nasty rash/irritation in the back of my throat. I've gone back to PG 3 times and each time I got that rash. The last time I got it, I was unable to speak clearly for almost 2 weeks. So I'm never going back to PG again, haha.

VG has treated me well, other than the harshness of the vape and the frequent throat irritation. OH I must add, if I get that gag reflex, all it takes is a drop of honey in the back of my throat and it goes away! Liquids alone don't help coat it, the honey coats it sufficiently. I'm the odd guy blowing vapor out of an electronic device and squirting honey down my throat at work in the mornings, lol!

VG. actually has LESS flavor and throat hit, MORE vapor. That's why you may notice diminished flavor.

The tie tied too tight feeling i think is from nic content being too high. I get that every morning if i vape anything more than an 18mg. Doesn't matter if it was VG or PG.

Hmm, i was told the flavour of VG was much better than that of PG. The TH i can live without to be honest. As 555 doesn't really give any sort of throat hit anyway.

I stand immensely corrected! I thought it really was the VG. You are very right about high nic content... I vape 30-36 a handful of times throughout the day. I originally got high nic content thinking "If it's higher, I'll be satisfied faster, and I'll vape less". But you are right. In the morning I have a nasty gag reflex, and on several occasions it put me into a nasty coughing/near choking fit. I won't go into more detail, haha.

So it really is the nic content. This is a shame because I just ordered a restock of high nic content. In the future I am going to order 16-18 an see if it goes away.

Thanks for your insight, you don't know how much you helped me...! I've been puzzled for months wondering why "VG does this to me" though I'd take that over PG throat rash any! Lowering the nic asap!

Hey, my VG radar locks on to any thread discussing the stuff. Besides the everyone's different angle, something I realized may help anyone wanting to give VG a try. In short, I'd suggest giving it some time.

My liking for pure-VG juices grew over time, and I've come to really enjoy the slightly heavier texture of the vape. Reminds me in a way of smoking tobac. When I've gone back to PG juices for a week or two, I've found myself missing that heavier texture even if the PG flavs themselves are a bit brighter--although that difference has grown smaller with the newest VG juices out there.

Now, after months of vaping mainly VG, I never notice any sort of coating in the mouth or tendency to cough. In fact, the only disappointments I have are when I return to the PG-mixes and find the vape a bit too thin and see my skin breaking out terribly within a week. But again, everyone's diff, of course.

If you do try VG, I'd just suggest giving yourself a week or two to adjust before reaching firm conclusions. Remember how PG tasted at first, before you really settled into it? But then again, I'm an alien, so maybe nothing here is relevant.

Glad i could help someone out :)
I try to avoid the higher nic content, as they don't play well with me if i vape too much on them.

After spending a week with VG 555 carto's. I don't care about the lessened flavour as much. The vapour production is so great, that alone is my reason to switch. Especially on my manual PT. It's like a huge pea soup fog from back home in London lol.
The coughing issues i find aren't as bad anymore and to be honest, if it makes me vape less in the evenings, then good. I'm sold on VG without a doubt. It's just all round better for me.
