I'm in love with Redbomb and now that they are selling concentrates of their own flavorings, I'm very curious as to what percentage they use for flavorings as well. I'll try to answer your questions however:

Usually the flavorings percentage is 10 to 20 percent. I usually opt for around 20 but some flavorings are far stronger than others.

Sweeten to taste. I'm not sure what type of sweetener you have, but I've been using sucralose and usually start with 1 drop per 3 ml if sweetener is needed at all. Working with small amounts is always better until you have the exact taste you want. Then you can multiply and make larger quantities. I would suggest starting out with 3ml batches at first.

You should shake the hell out of the batch and let it sit for 12 hours before you even consider vaping it. It can take up to a couple weeks for the flavors to intensify, but what you vape at the 12 hour mark is a pretty good indication of where the flavor is going. Tip: Always shake well prior to use.

Too sexy, far too sexy...

Thanks for the tips. I was really happy with the mixes at 20%, the flavors are really good. Vapor is light at 20% so I'm trying different amounts of VG out (not a fan of thick juice so a VG base isn't for me). I'm a big bananas foster fan but have never been satisfied with any of the pre-mixed juices I've found - I'll be infatuated with a new Bananas Foster flavor for awhile and then it wears out on me. Too much cinnamon or dairy or the coffee add isn't working out for me, but now I've really been liking my vb banana/caramel/rum mix.

Looks like I'll be taking to this DIY thing finally. Before VB I never had one work out quite the way I planned, now I'll get a little more adventurous since I've had a little success.

Their banana flavor is very good. It is a sweet banana, not a green banana flavor. I went with caramel to cover the caramelized brown sugar and butter and the creamy aspect of the vanilla ice cream because I found that I don't like vaping dairy flavors at all and I stay away from butter flavors (i.e. buttered rum) because of the whole diacetyl/popcorn lung thing (just in case). Plus it reduces the complexity of the recipe.

I tried leaving out the rum, and banana/caramel is okay, but its a little boring and sweet somehow - I actually prefer just the banana or just the caramel over the banana/caramel mix. But adding the rum seems to really balance it out and make all of the flavors gel together nicely, countering the sweetness of the banana/caramel mix and preventing the caramel from overpowering the banana.

My mix was a simple 20% flavoring mix with an even 1:1:1 ratio of each flavor. I plan on trying a heavier banana aspect and going with half of the flavor as banana and splitting the other half between the caramel and rum to see if that turns out as good as the 1:1:1 mix. Actually, I just mixed up each flavor separately so once they cure I can just mix the mixes instead of worrying about a recipe each time since I'll be vaping a good amount of this and the banana is great on its own anyway.

With 100% PG the vapor was a little light, but changing it to 15% VG solved that problem. Only thing is, I'm sensing the VG tones down the flavors a bit so I'm not sure if I'll end up going all PG for flavor or not - I haven't had time to nail that down.

Anyway, my recipe for 15ml of 12mg Bananas Foster was:

36mg Flavorless PG E-liq, 33%, 5.0ml
VB Banana, 8%, 1.2ml
VB Caramel, 6.5%, 1.0ml
VB Rum, 6.5%, 1.0ml
PG, 31%, 4.7ml
VG, 15%, 2.3ml

If you want a different mg level, the formula for figuring the percent of e-liquid in your mix is:

% of eliq = 1 / (eliq mg / desired mix mg)

Then just adjust the amount of PG to correct the total mix to 100%.

Note that there isn’t any cinnamon, if you are missing the cinnamon a couple drops of somebody’s red hot mix probably wouldn’t hurt. I’m just afraid of burying the banana flavor too deep.
