The vaporesso BARR Pod mod is powered by a built-in 350mAh battery with USB Type-C charging, and features a small size for easy daily carrying. The activation of the circuit is automatic so just inhale from the drip tip and vape. Thanks to an innovative rotating structure of the cartridge, it will be possible to regulate the air flow by rotating the surface of the pod. The cartridge has a 1.2ml liquid capacity and integrates a 1.2Ω Mesh resistance.

The front of the package lets you see the device inside. The brand name, the product name and four icons containing information on the main features of this device are shown at the top.

On the back are the specifications, the packing list, the warnings regarding minors and the batch number of the product.

How the Vaporesso Barr is built:

When I opened the Barr box I honestly didn't expect much, after all it's just a 350mAh battery.
But I must admit that this device is very discreet and pocket-sized, it could interest a certain range of people who love discretion, do not want to appear too much and do not vape compulsively. The solid colors fade elegantly towards the lower part of the device, the fumee-colored pod offers good visual control over the liquid level. This stick has an elongated rectangle shape and the edges are beveled.

At the top is the Air-flow system (indicated by the arrow) consisting of a grid with five small slits, at the bottom is the vaporesso logo.

On the opposite side (indicated by the arrow) we find the multifunctional notification LED.
- Once the type-C cable is connected to the device, the LED indicator stays on, flashing 25 times as a reminder when charging is complete.
- When the device detects an ultra-low resistance the led flashes three times and the device stops working.
- When the device detects a short circuit, the LED flashes for 2S and stops working.
- When the device detects that the battery is low it flashes five times and stops working.
- When the device detects that the battery is charged it flashes 20 times and stops charging.
- When the vape time exceeds 10s in a row, the device flashes twice, stopping delivery.

The other two lateral profiles of the BARR have a bare and clean design, only in the upper part is a small recess visible which serves to interlock the cartridge.

Inside the compartment / pod there are indications on the battery capacity and a serial number.

The two gold-plated pins inside the compartment / pod transfer a power of about 13W to the coil for an optimal MTL vape.

The USB Type-C socket on the bottom provides for charging the Barr. On the bottom there are also the disposal logo and the C E mark.

Pod:
As I said, the disposable cartridge of the Barr is smoked in color, contains 1.2 ml of liquid and its transparency offers immediate visual control, the 1.2Ω Mesh-coils are not replaceable and the complete cartridge / coil replacement is offered.

The mouthpiece has an atypical shape, with various triangular facets, however the feedback with the lips is pleasant.
The steam outlet hole is oval in shape with a diameter of about 3.5mm.

Above each of the four sides of the cartridge there are numbers, just place the pod with the chosen number towards the airflow on the battery body, naturally number 1 will have the smallest puff and number 4 will give the most open puff.

Complete setting of the air-flow:

To fully recharge the 350mAh of the Vaporesso Barr it takes an average of 50 minutes.
With a full charge cycle I managed to vape about 3ml.

Conclusions:
The tab of the refill cap is fully rotatable and this facilitates the filling operation.
I then filled both sample cartridges that Vaporesso sent me, I waited some time before trying them to allow the cotton to absorb the liquid well.

I used a self-produced liquid with Tob Ermes concentrated aroma diluted to 10% with a neutral base 50/50 at a concentration of 4mg / ml, the pod has a capacity of only 1.2ml, however I think it is rightly related to the small size of the 350mAh battery of this Barr.

I found the possibility of being able to vary the air flow by extracting the cartridge and rotating it at will before inserting it very interesting, in this regard the cartridge adopts slots of different sizes on each of the four sides.

By setting the airflow in the most restricted position, the resulting puff is still quite airy, so if you are looking for a very closed MTL device, the Barr is probably not for you, however I don't remember traditional cigarettes so hard to inhale. I would say that with this combination the Barr resembles cigarette!

By increasing the passage of air in the second and third steps the device becomes more airy, but not so much!
While between the first and fourth hole the vape takes on a marked difference.
I therefore believe that the first setting is suitable for a good MTL vape, while the highest setting is almost DTL, but very limited.

The Coil inside the Barr is a 1.2Ω Mesh, pushed by the device at 13W, it does not have an exaggeratedly tight draft, but I think that if it had it it would have problems of excessive heating pushed at this power.

I perceive my favorite aroma very well, as I discreetly perceive the 4mg / ml present in the liquid. The puff is always smooth and regular.
In the end, in my opinion this device in MTL works and performs well, better than I expected.

The Vaporesso Barr I recommend it to anyone who is looking for something manageable, and which still offers a fair amount of steam and a good quality of aroma.
