    FIRST IMPRESSIONS

    Both the Xros 3 and mini are in a basic package that serves it's purpose. Vaporesso made sure both devices arrive to it's customers scratch free by wrapping each in a clear plastic. As I said earlier there are differences between the devices and one is that while the Xros 3 has a smooth finish throughout the mini has a raised diamond texture on one side.

    You get 2 pods with the Xros 3 that are 0.6Ω and and a 1.0Ω but only 1 pod is supplied for the Xros 3 mini and it's a 0.6Ω as the Xros 3 has. Both have a charging cable, user manual and pod filling instruction card.

    Both devices have wattage automatically delivered to the coil inside the pod so no adjustment buttons are needed, as a matter of fact the Xros 3 mini has no buttons or airflow adjustment being a auto draw only device wit 2 tiny holes on each side.

    The Xros 3 on the other hand does have a fire button and also uses the auto draw feature as well. There is airflow adjustment on the Xros 3, 2 airflow holes can be adjusted down to no holes being visible giving a very nice semi tight MTL vape.

    Pods are held in place with 2 magnets and are clearly marked with what ohm they are, Vaporesso also puts a protective sticker on the bottom of the installed pods that must be removed before you can use. between each set of contacts and magnets is the auto draw tube inside both devices.

    Both devices use a USB-C charge port located on the bottom of each device which is fine because of how lightweight they are, less chance of being knocked over while charging.

    As I mention earlier both devices have auto draw bringing air into 2 tiny holes on each side of the devices. The Xros 3 is taller than the mini and that's probably because it has adjustable airflow and can be button fired as well. I like both the smooth texture of the Xros 3 and the raised diamond pattern texture of the mini, the raised diamond pattern on the mini's one side really doesn't add any gripping advantage but aesthetically looks great.

    The top fill method on both is a favorite of mine because of the self sealing red membrane that accepts most juice bottle tips, the small hole on the other end lets air escape during fill ups so there is never any mess or need for a wipe up of juice. To get to the fill port just push back or forward on the mouthpiece to snap it off, when finished filling snap the mouthpiece back on.

    Being a simple device as the Xros 3 and Xros 3 mini is actually a plus for them, simply charge it and vape with no need for adjusting wattage and once the airflow is set to your liking you wont have to touch it again because it stays on your setting have tight resistance on the airflow control lever.

    Both devices use a bright LED on the front at the bottom for a battery meter with 3 different colors showing the strength, fully charged to 70% is Green, 30-70% is Blue and 30% and under is Red. I snapped a picture of the Xross 3 at about a half full battery so you can see how bright it is.

    PROS - XROS 3 MINI CONS - XROS 3 MINI

    * Easy Top Fill

    * Clear Pod

    FINAL IMPRESSIONS

    I will tell you right away that both of the new Xros devices are winners and I did have a favorite until I tried a old trick to solve a very loose MTL draw. The Mini has a fixed airflow and is auto draw only and my style of MTL draw was having the auto draw shut down in mid vape most of the time which is very annoying until I put a small piece of clear scotch tape over one of the airflow inlet holes and it works like a champ after doing that, so problem solved with the auto draw.

    As far as the flavor goes for both devices using the 0.6Ω pod, it is above average with plenty of warmth that I like and more than enough vapor. The 0.1Ω pod is slightly cooler but not a cold vape and the flavor is also above average. I always use a juice that I know very well to determine just how well a pod or atomizer is at reproducing it's flavor and the new pods came through 100%.

    The Xros 3 is also a great device for MTL, I feel it's to tight for a RDL vape with both airflow holes opened up fully. I closed down the airflow fully and found that not only was it able to still be vaped but that setting was perfect for me and my vape draw. I feel that Vaporesso has 2 winners with the Xros 3 and Xros 3 mini and I recommend both of them 100%. I would like to thank Danny and Vaporesso for sending both devices for review.

    THANK YOU
