Yeah, well, these things last a longggggg time. I may buy a backup pair of LGs or Samsungs just to compare because I was surprised as well at the performance.
Last a long time, sure, but it's nowhere near a 40 amp battery, and definitely worse than the LG hg2 and Samsung 30q. Check Mooch's test, it's only a 17 amp battery, and it's damaged at 30 amps, far from the 40 amps stated on the label. Don't trust rewraps.

Imren 40A 3000mAh 18650 Bench Retest Results...only a 17A battery, damaged at 30A

Yeah I mean I figured they were not 40 amps CDR, but 2 splitting the amperage in a regulated mod is not going to be very dangerous, even at 17 amps apiece, assuming all the cells are the same. I'll probably still get a pair of LGs to see how they work, but these certainly seem fine for me in this mod. I appreciate the suggestion though and its good to know someone did test them.

My perfect Vapor Flask would be slightly larger, to accommodate x3 18650, 25 mm thick, so 25 mm tanks wouldn't overhang, and 200 watts. Also, I've always thought that VF would look much better with the 510 in the middle, you know... like an actual flask?

Mod would be even better than the wildly popular Reuleaux, as you could actually *gasp* PUT IT IN YOUR POCKET!!!

C'mon, Wismec, make it happen, you'd sell a TON!

Agreed, but if they did do a mod like that I would leave the 510 where it is and put the screen back on top.

If the intention were to keep the form factor the flask would be really wide though, and therefore neither comfortable to hold nor very pocketable. I have a difficult time imagining a three-battery mod with a better form factor than the Reuleaux.

You can practically fit three batteries in there right now... it'd only need to be a couple mm wider. There's no way you can say a 3mm wider VF wouldn't be more comfortable in the pocket than an RX.
Absolutely, especially if you move the screen back to the top.

If it's the size of the dna40 vapor flask the case would fit three batteries without leaving any room for electronics. 3 mm is nowhere enough to fit a board.

I also said to make it thicker, I'd assume that'd be enough room for a chip, especially these days.

ETA: VF classic is 92mm tall, shouldn't that leave a bunch of room at the top for a chip?
The dna40 version doesn't have room at the top. The shape of the flask is a problem. The curved form means that straight boards will take more space than needed if installed in front/back of the batteries. The flask would need to be significantly thicker to fit three batteries in that way. A centimeter at least I think.

It looks like in that pic it might have a side battery door like the vape forward flask... I can kinda see a slit down the side?

I like the side door so much better than the caps. Now I got 2 flasks on my list, the SX and this.

Same here.... VFSX I am gunning for the crimson red! But if course if they were to release brushed SS, then it will be a different story all together.

VFVS DNA133 have an odd looking button/indicator below the +/- buttons, I wonder what is that? Look like a IR receiver or it could be a cap for the USB port?
