Hello again everyone,

I'm going to keep this review a bit shorter, simply due to I've said most of the important stuff in my other review.

Let's talk battery life, cartomizer life taste and ease of filling, USB passthrough, and my take on vaping in general.

Battery life has been pretty good thus far. I got the kit with the PCC, and just change them out every so often (perhaps even too often), and thus my batteries are always going strong. I really have no issues with them, just wish I would've gotten a manual. Sometimes I get cut off after 1-2 seconds of a draw. That makes it sometimes difficult to get a decent vape.

Cartomizers: I've been jumping back and forth between several and I finally settled in on two flavors. At the moment those flavors are coffee and cappucino. I also have vanilla and Mboro. I have to say that Mboro is the one I ordered the most of (thinking it would seem more real), but really wish I wouldn't have gotten any. While it's ok, you (if you're like me) will go in hoping that it'll taste like that cigarette you just smoked. If you do, you'll be extremely disappointed. It tastes like a freshly opened pack of cigarettes smells like. It's ok, but for myself, if it's not going to be close to real, I'd prefer it be far from it. Coffee was initially my favorite of the four flavors I got, and is still holding strong. Cappucino was a bit too sweet for me, but I've since gotten somewhat used to it (this could be due to me not caring for the Mboro flavor as much as I would've hoped). To anyone starting new, I'd suggest getting something you like the taste of, and not going for something that you think will be like what you smoke (menthol might work better, but I'm sure it's like sucking on a mint). Next time around I'm going for the fruity flavors, and going to get a huge bottle of coffee :).

I seem to be having good luck too. In four days, I've only refilled my coffee cartomizers once. They're still giving great vapor and taste (I only got two) and I'm definitely vaping them a lot. I'm actually down to 3-5 cigarettes a day, and that's without trying to quit. I just find myself without needing one.

They're a sinch to fill. Just pop off the end, drop a few drops in, and pop it back on. It really is as easy as that.

The only draw back is I wish that VK made Vegetable glycerin cartomizers. As I will probably be making my own VG and filling the spent carts with that, but still have to clear the PG first. Bummer

USB Passthrough: It's a battery on steroids. If you sit at the CPU, you should definitely get one (though it will make you like your normal batteries less, but hey... what do you expect?).

Great stuff so far. Might get a 501 just for the VG aspect, but at this point the ease with which I can operate the VK is probably unable to be matched. Great e-cig, just waiting on VG to not even have to look at another site!!! (HINT HINT STEVE!!!)

Thanks for reading. Enjoy

Nice review! The coffee and capuccino are my fave all day vapes too! Very yummy! And Steve has stated in the V4L forum that he will be getting some VG in soon, the samples are coming in next week. Of course, they will have to meet with his satisfaction first, as he won't sell anything that he doesn't consider top notch - but I expect we'll have some VG soon!

I just visited V4L and saw this:

"V4L PRESENTS THE NEW 380 MAH EXTRA LONG LASTING SUPER DUPER VAPE MACHINE BATTERY."

I'm wondering how long that will last against a chainsmoker like me

I am sporatic, but my extra long lasted all day for me. KC has posted that it lasted him a solid 6 hours of chain vaping I believe! I am puffing on it now, and it is a beast! And I think it comes mighty close to my manual passthrough which I would put up against a mod for taste and throat hit! VK rocks!

good to know. I'm new to ecig and decided on purchasing the Volcano. I have it now and i like it but looking for another one with a very good battery and monster vapor producer. I think i'll get VK next but my only concerns about it is, as V4L states, the atty is meant to be "disposable". and $12.50 for box of 5 is that refering to the cartridge or is it 5 boxes with 5 cartridges inside each box?

I actually ordered an 808D-1 from a different vendor (before I knew about the VK from Vapor4Life). From all the posts I've read from very happy customers over in the V4L Suppliers subforum, I believe now that there really IS a difference, not only in the model itself, but also the cartomizers.

The cartomizers I got really taste terrible. I've vaped on the mint off and on for the last couple of days because it's the least offensive of the 3 flavors. I was really trying to give it a fair test by thoroughly breaking it in. I had ordered 2 other flavors (ones that I use all the time in my 901), but they were just too nasty-tasting for me to even attempt to vape on them very much. Needless to say, I was really disappointed in this purchase.

After reading so much praise about the products and Steve's excellent customer service, I decided to order a VK. It should be here tomorrow or Friday, so I can't wait to compare them, especially the carts. Steve's cartomizers get excellent reviews over in the V4L subforum, mostly for better and stronger flavor, excellent and consistent throat hit, and decent vapor production.

I quit the analogs with my 901, but I just got tired of all the "fiddling" you have to do with it (filling, topping, dripping, dropping, etc.). That's why I ordered the 2-piece model. I have high expectations for the Vapor King -- will let you know in a few days if those expectations have been met or not (fingers crossed).
