Really... not only can I keep my knife on me at school... I'm not prohibited from carrying my pistol. In fact, knowing a certain percentage of staff have concealed weapons permits is considered part of the school's emergency plan in case of an armed gunman pulling something like what happened at VT.

It'll never happen here. Even though Louisiana is a gun "friendly" state. They've bought into the 'Zero Tolerance' ideology. They even banned smoking on school property (for the staff - duh). When I was still on analogs, I'd either have to cross the road or walk over to an adjacent property to get my smoke break.

No answer for you on the excals, but as for juice....what flavors do you tend to gravitate to? Fruity, dessert, tobaccos, etc?

I used to be a huge fan of Gerber stuff. Not any more. Mostly made in China and cheap stainless steel that still rusts. Sadly it seems like once a certain big box retailer started selling a lot of Gerber stuff, manufacturing went down hill big time. Still a fan of SOG. As soon as I have a few extra bucks around, I plan to get a good SOG multitool and maybe another blade.

Mine's an older model. Made in Oregon IIRC.

yea...that needle is just a weeee bit too small

but the syringe (minus the needle) is great for DIY

Has anyone had problems with the tanks on the excals (2ml or 6ml) cracking? I am getting ready to buy some to try, and see that they have the tank replacements and am wondering if it is common. If so, I will jsut add one to my cart...

Nope. I did have the threading come loose from the tube on the clear ones, but no problems with the colored ones. Better material in the tube than on the clear too.

Luckily my M-i-L is a nurse so she hooked me up with a variety of syringes & needle gauges.

I tend to like fruits the most, recently been on a peppermint kick (which unfortunately he doesn't have), and some desserts (I tend to be pickier when it comes to the baked goods flavors...)

Luckily my M-i-L is a nurse so she hooked me up with a variety of syringes & needle gauges.

One of the guys I work with was telling me about his wife, a nurse, hooking him up with a heart needle for injecting marinade before bbqing.

The Licorice whips .... I also like the Very Berry & the Lime. The grape & Cherry are tasty, but a bit too "candy" for me.

hmmm...i was just talking about that with a couple of my coworkers who have concealed weapons permits and if they bring anything, it has to be left in their cars. If they are caught with it, instant dismissal and misdemeanor charges....

Sadly I lost my last true made in the USA Gerber. Ah well. SOG has some great stuff out that has caught my eye. Just a matter of getting the $$ to get one. Heh. I don't even really use a knife much any more, but still like having a good one around. Somewhere at my parents house I even have one of the original Swiss Champs.

Thanks for the recommendations. I was eyeing the very berry.... but I don't think the licorice will do it for me...I hate black jelly beans...In fact, I was thrilled to find the Starburst jelly beans at Easter time because they don't have black ones...
