I was on a cruise ship at the time. My annual escape from the hectic life of working in the hospitality business is to take a cruise. Always feels nice to be on the receiving end of good service
Usually just a quick 4 nighter out of Miami, but this year my goal is to go big. 14n from LAX to MIA via the Panama Canal on the Disney Wonder.

Nice! I'd thought about doing something like that when I was single. I had a friend who was a pianist and did cruise ships for college funds.

I did do what you're doing, but on a totally different scale. I worked at a Super 8 motel in a small town near the Washington coast.

Heh. Some days I wish I had it that simple. I work at a larger convention center campus resort with almost 2000 rooms. We're often turning 500 out and in on the same day.
