Fine looking son you have there Nature. :) I sincerely hope that everything works out for the best. I cannot even begin to imagine what you must have gone through and are still going through. Absolute best of luck hun.

Thank you for the picture! That really make me miss home. I don't know what it is, but I will always call IL my home. I guess because I born there?

Thanks, Red! It definitely has been quite a journey, but on the way we have learned that, even though his situation is not ideal, there are still others out there that are struggling through worse situations.

This experience has given us a newfound repect for life, in general, as well as rewarded us with a TON of patience. It's not the path I would have chosen for him, but we are humbled for having traveled down this road.

Illinois is definitely a beautiful state, and I can see how you would miss it dearly, being born here at all. I feel the same way about Texas, where I spent the first 29 years of my life, and where most of our family still resides. The family part is what we miss the most. :)

I've been drinking coffee since I was a kid. Started out with 'coffee milk' (more milk than coffee) at about 6 or 7, and slowly worked my way up to coffee w/a splash. I got into espresso about the same time I started drinking Stout. I discovered I really liked strong flavors. I started getting into hotter & hotter chilies at about the same time.

I pretty much limit myself to 2, maybe 3 beers max. And then only a couple of times a week. Mostly I'll drink Tab with, and after, dinner.

I end up drink decaffeinated AZ green tea before bedtime.

I had to start limiting the beers when my doctor said my triglycerides scared her.

I'm glad. I was worried you thought I was making light of your son's situation.

Don't worry . . . about a thing
'cause every little thing's
gonna be alright

I've done that one at karaoke a few times, but if I'm going to do Marley I usually do Buffalo Soldier. :)

I like that one, too. Well, anything Marley, really.

I like a huge variety of music. My kids are getting some good exposure to all the greats, though. When Mama cleans or cooks, Mama's rockin'! The kids think I'm nuts, though.

They make fun of me, alright. But, it's already rubbing off on them. I caught my ten-year-old singing SMB's Jet Airliner while playing a game on the PS3. And for Mother's Day, my oldest son (20) broke out his guitar and did a cover of Clapton's Layla just for me. Best gift EVER!

We're pretty eclectic here when it comes to music. Working in radio I've done a bunch of different formats and to me if something is well done for the style of musid, then it doesn't matter what genre it's from. Strange things happen when I put my music collection on shuffle. You might hear Dwight Yokum and Marilyn Manson back to back.

Lately, I've really gotten into Kid Koala.
